Bengel is the first Plant Vera in physical existence, acting as a type of "world tree' for all other plant Vera fragments (Vescls) in the universe. They are essentially a super massive sentient "Pando Tree" that weaves through rifts - intersections between the real world and the astral plane. Bengel has absorbed information both from physical and conceptual realities. They are considered the Vera of Conservation, as they protect the first law of Thermodynamics and quantum information conservation. They are rivals with TEC, the Vera of Entropy.
