At one point in time Azazel could have been described as an arrogant arse who was incredibly full of himself. He couldn't see his actions as wrong and thought he was always justified to do whatever he liked, although no one else appreciated it. He was cold and merciless, with no remorse for who he hurt as long as he gained what he wanted. A self proclaimed ladies man who used his both attractive and fearsome looks to get his way even when he shouldn't have.

However over time he realized the error of his ways. People he once called friends would no longer come to his defense and denied being associated with him-- and it hurt. This allowed him to see himself for what he was and led to a drastic downfall that left him spiraling for some time in self doubt and hate. He saw himself through the eyes of all the people he'd hurt and finally felt remorse and regret.

It took a long time but eventually he came across who is now his best friend and the Fooling who brought him out of that empty shell he had made for himself. This Fooling is Ame, whose oddball personality and outright absurdity help bring him around, and he's much more open and odd than he used to be. Old friends who once disowned him became his friend again, and despite his mafia connections scaring some people along with his appearance, he is an incredibly happy and open Fooling.

Due to his selfish nature and believing himself to be better than anyone else his relationships were initially very strained, although he never noticed. He used any means he could think of to achieve his goals even if it caused harm to someone he was supposed to care about. He was narcissistic and self-centered and it took everyone leaving him for him to see himself in the same light as they did.

This sent him into a downward spiral of self doubt and hate that lasted a very long time as the loneliness he thought he was immune to truly set in. He saw the world through other's eyes and felt like he himself was a devil.

This led him to his fateful encounter with his now best friend, Ame. The younger Fooling was eccentric, hyperactive and downright strange-- but did not judge Azazel in the least. It was through her odd views of the world that he became who he was, someone who could think of others while still getting what he wanted-- with no harm done to anyone. It required hard work, but with Ame's positive attitude there was never any doubt in his mind. His regrets about everything he'd shut down, innocent's he'd hurt, all the tears he had caused and sparks he'd stomped out were slowly alleviated as he fixed what he had broken.

Because of her changing his life so drastically for the better he devoted a great deal of time to her, and they became the best of friends due to it. He accepted all her quirks no matter how obscene they were, and became a rock in her life that helped to her to stay grounded. He even accepted her Mafia request, although at the time the thought it wouldn't go anywhere-- apparently, he was more influential than he thought, and it became a booming family which he proudly stands to be a part of. Azazel wouldn't change his life for the world, and will stand with Ame and their friends until the very end.

• Azazel was teased due to his backwards feet compared to normal Foolings when he was young
• It's believed that the teasing caused his poor attitude and narcissism
• He will never admit that he's learning various rain dances or that he has never been successful in the least with one working and Ame teases him for it daily
• Others still judge him based on appearance quite frequently, but he doesn't take it to heart-- he knows his appearance can be off-putting, and he's learned to accept it
• His least favorite member of the Family is Boof-- only because the giant sat on him, but they still get along quite well
• Once he gets to know you he's incredibly loyal, you'll never find another one quite like him. He will forever be by your side unless you betray him and he finds out
• Don't ever insult Ame in front of him, you might get a horn in the butt or a good claw to the face-- remember, his big claws are on the front!
• He hates when people bat or hit the bell on his tail, you would never do it if it was on a normal collar, so don't do it because it's on his tail! This is mostly because of young Foolings or curious piccofoos, but it still frustrates him
• He has a strong love for rain and finds it incredibly calming... another reason he became quite fond of Ame
• Unlike Ame, Azazel gives concise answers but due to their short nature they can come across as vague, which is problematic. Unless you're a close friend you will often only get one to two word replies
• When Ame disappears, Az is in charge. He meets the foopopo head on when Ame seems to run, and his stoic and calm attitude keeps them well away from whatever the Family is hiding
