ABILITY: Rashoumon & Poetic Memoirs

ABILITY DETAILS: Nobunori’s version of Rashoumon is strikingly similar to his father, Ryuunosuke’s, and it is his primary ability, as he uses it far more often, both in battle and domestically. Unlike Ryuunosuke’s, however, Nobunori’s Rashoumon heads more closely resemble those of a skeletal canine, like a wolf or coyote; specifically, two of the heads are more coyote-like, and one is more wolf/dog-like. He has three distinct heads which appear from his Rashoumon, which is linked to the coat he wears, much like his father as well, and the heads have names and approximate genders: Eris and Persephone, who are female, and Apollo, who is male. They also have a cooler color scheme, trending towards blues and purples instead of reds like Ryuunosuke’s. On the other hand, his other ability, Poetic Memoirs, is not often used in combat, unless he needs to transform into his lion form (which is achieved through mimicking Beast Beneath the Moonlight). Poetic Memoirs is able to closely mimic any ability he is exposed to for a long period of time, and the longer the time, the closer he’ll be able to replicate it, though he can never do so with 100% accuracy, hence why his form is a lion and not a tiger when mimicking Atsushi and Murasaki’s ability.

BRIEF OVERVIEW: Generally described as funny, friendly, and genial, so long as you don’t waste his time, Nobunori is far more social than some members of his family (namely, his father Ryuunosuke and older twin sister Murasaki). So much so, some people would say it’s difficult to process that he is one of the few members of his family to join the Port Mafia, and one of the only ones within himself and his cousins combined to become an assassin; not only that, he is one of the top assassins in the entire organization. Much of this relies on his abilities, Rashoumon and Poetic Memoirs, though he seems to get oddly testy when asked how he feels about Poetic Memoirs, or his legacy of being related to (and also being himself) Yokohama’s hero were-tiger. Nobunori carefully crafts himself and his personality, and while he can come off as cold or aloof at times, much of this is either due to his autism, or another facade he puts on as a part of his artificial crafting of his own personality. He has gotten quite good at masking who he really is over the years, because he feels as though he has to in order to fit in. That said, much of that goes out of the window when Conan Edogawa Poe is involved, as the two are head over heels for each other (in an unusually adorable way), though neither wants to confess to the other, so they come up with increasingly ridiculous reasons as to why they cannot do so. Nobunori’s main goal in life is to get a leg up on any possible competition, and the careful crafting of his personality is a part of that. While he is aware he can sometimes hurt people he cares about with this, this is not his goal, and if confronted, he will do his best to apologize and set things right, as he has no desire to see people in genuine distress.

EXTRA: 

• his biggest goal is to be a global star in the music world. He is an incredible singer, and his guitar skills (on essentially any type of guitar that exists, acoustic, electric, or otherwise) are nearly unmatched. That said, when he meets someone who can meet or even surpass his musical skills, he gets incredibly excited, as he enjoys being challenged. The only person known to canonically rival him in ability is Oliver Fitzgerald.
