Fun Facts:

-His owner named him after his first best friend, who moved away a little before his trip to the safari. His mom took him there to try and cheer him up, and thus he found Gerald's plush form.

Origin: Gerald was a plushie for sale at the shack of a popular safari for families, where children were given opportunities to get up close to some, and even make friends with the animals throughout the adventure. One boy in particular had an incredible time, but he rambled to his mother constantly about his favourite part--- feeding one of the young giraffes.

Skipping the entire path between the cart and the shack, the boy chimed about how he never wanted to wash his hand, which receives a sigh from his mother who knows she'll be responsible for crushing his dream of a giraffe drool-soaked hand. Going inside, she scans the shack in hopes to find something that might serve as a bargain for that inevitable fight. That's when she catches eye of the plushie shelf. 

Lions, hyenas, and other animals seen throughout the safari scatter the shelves against the wall. However, the mother immediately catches eye of a singular plush, a giraffe with blue and purple spots across it's body. It must be popular, being the last giraffe on the shelf is her thought as she reaches out for it. Calling out to her son, she's eager to reveal her bargaining chip to the boy. "Owen~! Look what your mother found!" She chimes, peaking around the corner with the plush in her arms. "You don't think this guy would wanna feed from dirty hands, now do you?" Seeing the sparkle in the boy's eyes, she knows she made a good find and, with a check out at the counter and a walk to the car, the boy had his new best friend in his arms the entire ride home.

Their years together were filled with joy. Every day the boy would feed the giraffe alongside him breakfast, lunch, and supper. He slept with it, refused to bathe without it's company and would always sleep with it in his arms. Of course as the boy grew older, things changed--- he started hanging out with other kids, forgetting the giraffe at home for sleepovers, and eventually placing it atop his bookshelf where it slowly collected dust. Though Gerald was sad that his owner left him there, he was just happy to be there and watch him grow into the man he has become.

When the day came where it was time to sort through his childhood toys, the boy hesitated for a moment before tossing the plush into the bag marked "to go". However with a look in the plushie's bright yellow eyes, it was as if he could understand when the giraffe said "It's ok, I understand. It's time for me to go!" as he slowly added it to the bag. With a long trip in the second hand truck and a few heavy bumps, the knot that held the bag closed opens and out fell the giraffe, rolling off of the road and into the water below.

When the plush rolled up to the shore at the end of the lake is when the necrobie was formed, immediately filled with the excitement of exploring this new life given to him. After many days of travelling and enjoying the world around him, he comes across the Necro Toy Shop where he's surrounded by others like him. 

Personality: Gerald is a very bubbly, kindhearted and friendly necrobie, often making as many friends as he can. He has little to no room for hate in his body, and it's safe to say he's a cinnamon roll. He is very affectionate, sometimes too clingy for his own good. He'll often be seen linking arms, holding paws or even just giving lots and lots of HUGS. He loves them, and the quickest way to his good side is one of these. He can be a little gullible to those necrobies who would take advantage of him, but that's not to say he can't fend for himself when he does encounter them. He always puts the needs of others before his own, and sometimes has to do things he wishes he didn't have to (such as revoking cooking privileges from a particular necrobie). All in all though, everything he does is filled with loving and caring intentions, even if he may have to assert himself here and there.
