  • Can secrete venom from her fangs that acts as a paralytic
  • She is also a constrictor and can break bones with her powerful tail
  • Likes tea just as much as wine, though is usually seen drinking the former
  • Is also adept in the art of poisons

One can usually find Suri sunbathing, working, or taking a nap. Suri takes great pride in her work owning a small apothecary and hates it when people are sceptical. A motto of hers is 'if you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all.' She doesn't mind heat but can't stand the cold. When out in the cold for more than a half hour she will become miserable. An unhappy Suri is a force to be reckoned with. She's easy to please and loves making new friends, though some people can be exhausted by her exuberant nature. However if someone is having a bad day she will try her absolute best to elevate their mood.

History

Suri comes from a tribe of beasts like her that live in the desert. Their den is usually underground, safe from the scorching heat and sand. Her people by nature are very libertarian, some having multiple partners at a time. The tribe leader is always a female as women are thought to be closer to the Mother, which is the goddess they worship. Seeing as their main deity is a woman the society is matriarchal, anyone can have a relationship regardless of gender, but women tend to rule. Fertility is a big part of their culture since it's a sign of bounty. They pray that animals will be plenty, so they can have a bountiful hunt.

Although they worship fertility there birth rates are very low despite being oviparous. Females only lay one egg every couple years at best and most aren’t even fertilized. The ones that are (they can tell due to how strong the shell is) are put in a special part of the cave where males wrap around all of the eggs and keep them warm. Since caring for an egg is a group effort all newborns are raised communally.

Considering how relatively rare newborns are even if an egg isn’t fertilized everyone is still paranoid that it might just be a weak newborn, so tend to keep them anyways to see if they hatch. Incubation takes about a year and is a very special event. Rituals are done to pray for a healthy batch and adults are on standby in case a baby has trouble getting out or is weak. Unlike some societies they don’t care if a baby is frail or not. If they are the baby is doted over so they can grow strong.

Hiyah I'm Suri!

Suri is easily excitable and a fun person to be around. She can be a bit of rascal but usually means no harm. If someone is mean to her she will tend to give them the cold shoulder; masking it as friendliness. She can be rather devious if someone gets on her bad side. A little brazen due to her earthy crunchy views she has no problem with nudity or anything society might deem as 'uncouth.' She loves plants, animals, and being outside. Sometimes she hums or sings whenever working on her garden. With strong moral beliefs she refuses to sit idly by and watch others suffers which one would'nt expect with her happy go lucky attitude about life.
