About

A previously owned, now feral dog. Volknar was never happy as a pet, he felt the drive to hunt and kill and have his own territory from a young age. Deciding to follow these instincts, he tore away from his lead keeping him in his former owner's yard. He now has his own den in the woods, along with a territory. He relies on only himself for survival, hunting and defending his new home.

Volknar can be described as agressive, egotistical, and self centered. This doesn't mean that he is without his positive traits, he is also fiercly independent, self loving, proud, strong, and just. He is not incredibly forgiving of those who do wrong, but is a good judge of honest mistakes vs intentional, and he is not one to be crossed. Those who mistakenly trespass on his territory are given a stern but fair warning. He is not sympathetic to dogs less fortunate than him and does not go out of his way to help others. For better or for worse, he always feels that he is correct in the choices that he makes. While this means he can stand his ground and is confident in himself, this leaves him very opposed to critcism, and comes with the risk of being wrong and not being able to change his mind.

Has some of the lean build from the malinois but is strong and solid from his akita side. His fur length is closer to the smooth coat of malinois, though his tail is thicker like an akita. His muzzle shape is between the two, as akitas have shorter and blockier muzzles and malinois are long and slender. He does not have droopy jowls. His ear length is longer. His harness is a reminder of his origins as a previous pet. He can't get the harness off, but he thinks of it as proof that he took charge of his own life. It also offers him physical protection from attackers, so he has no complaints about that.
