celia runs and operates timeless treasures, an antique shop. the business was initially owned and founded by their parents, but as the two grew old and became unable to do what was needed, celia had to step up to take on more and more responsibilities at the age of 19. the business has only grown since then and now, at age 24, celia runs the store and is responsible for supplying it, making sales, and assisting customers.
timeless treasures wasn't widely known to the public for a long time. it's positioned on a small town off the highway with about two hundred people living in it. not an ideal location for business, outside of curious tourists making a pitstop or two during long road trips. but celia did her best to make those few tourists feel welcome and enjoy all the shop had to offer. she has a passion for the shop and all the oddities within it. one thing celia and their shop have become known for is the stories that customers leave with. every object that leaves the store has a story attached to it, one for customers to build on and the same goes for objects that enter -- they arrive with a story for celia to continue until the next person takes it.
it is celia's passion and stories that caught the attention of an influencer that happened to enter by chance, looking for something weird to make a quick video of, but finding more than she had expected. she was enchanted by this odd, quaint, little store in the middle of nowhere. the influencer made a post on her social media about the shop and from there, more customers were drawn to timeless treasures to sate their curiosity. business has been steadily rising ever since and celia has managed to keep up with everything.
personality
celia’s manner of speaking is more so on the polite side. they’re a slow speaker, taking the time to choose the right words. celia enjoys listening to what people have to say, no matter if it’s something deep and personal, or something small and silly. comforting people is a skillset celia's never really mastered, but they’re more than willing to sit and listen if need be. she does genuinely care about people, she isn’t someone who’s extremely selfish either, she just struggles a bit with expressing it.
celia adores stories in all forms, whether it’s in writing, game, or show. storytelling is ingrained in human growth and ideas are meant to be shared. while celia loves to consume stories (listening, reading, etc), they do like to spin stories via a 'story game' about mundane objects from time to time -- a habit they picked up from their older sister, lia. the stories celia would tell are what put her antique shop on the map, after all. celia is someone who is passionate about the little things in life. she firmly believes that there’s only so much time to experience them after all, and you shouldn’t take the little things for granted. things like seeing the sun rise every morning or witnessing a rainbow -- they might be gone before you know it.
