About"To be a monster is to be a hybrid signal, a lighthouse: both shelter and warning at once" Stingray, more commonly known around the guild as Captain Stingray, is a large seawing sandwing hybrid who takes much pride in his role as a pirate captain. Although short tempered and and seen as unkind and strict (not to mention that he doesn't have a soft bone in his body) he can be very caring and is willing to protect his crew, even if it costs him his life. |
Backstory
Stingray is usually quite serious and stern, even looking at him wrong can get you on his bad side. His crew knows this better than any other dragon, but they also know he's not as bad as he makes himself out to be. When not under the pressure of a mission or around any other captains Stingray is laid back and even makes some jokes, he's at his best when he's celebrating a successful heist with his crew at one of the islands taverns. Simply put he's all(most) work and no play when it comes to his job and he is willing to protect his crew at all costs.

- Stingrays tail is one of his main weapons. Not only is it tipped with a venomous stinger, but it is also incredibly powerful and can do tons of damage just from blunt force trauma.

Stingray tends to let his emotions guide him a little too much, and gets incredibly angry very easily to the point he won't be able to think rationally. - Steam
Instead of having fire, Stingray can use an incredibly hot steam that can give up to three degree burns through scales, but it burns his throat pretty badly so he doesn't use it often.

- Whale meat (finds it too fatty and thinks its just an overrated meal for the rich)

A teak wood peg leg modeled after an actual dragon leg with sculpted talons included, it has a brass cuff around the top.
A weighty silver blade with a brass handle. It has sapphires and emeralds embedded into it.
Just a simple silver chain with a charm of a dragons claw holding a pearl.
The tooth of the dragon who killed his mother. He implies that he tore it out while the offending dragon was still conscious.

Relationships
Storm | Friend
Stingray and Storm are good friends. Stingray even considers it to be his best drinking buddy after a long day of swashbuckling and work. Probably the only dragon not on his crew to hear his singing voice.
Hades | Cousin
Stingray and Hades are distantly related but consider each other cousins. They often bond over how they were treated for their hybrid genetics.
Hickory | friend
Hickory and Stingray met through Storm. Usually the three of them can be seen drinking and generally having a good time together.
