Edward Atael

Appearance:

Edward has v-shaped bangs, longer hair on the sides (left side is wavy), and short, pointy hair in the back. His gray hair is topped with a pair of furry dog ears, each with dark gray tips. He's got also fuzzy dog tail and this has also a dark gray tip. His eyes are a vibrant green, almost like a pair of gemstones. His skin is olive and he's got freckles all over his face, arms, legs, back, ears and tail. He also has a scar on his right cheek and a black mark going all around his waist. He is very short and looks very young for his age.

Personality:

Edward is... very loud and easily excited. Think about an excited chihuahua who barks a lot. That's Edward. He's however not malicious and has a pure heart. He loves to have fun and sometimes accidentally goes a bit too far when trying to test his and other's limits. He loves his family above all else and does everything he can to help them with everything.

Backstory:

Edward's mother died in childbirth and he was raised by his father, his uncle, and a few friends of the family. When he was 6 years old he fell into a chasm at one of his father's archaelogical excavations and in order to survive the fall he became the host of a Shoggoth and a 3000-year old spirit. Only he can see them since they're bound to his soul. He countinued to grow into a independent teenager, but with strong political views.

Ongoing Story:

Edward likes to break into the royal palace in an attempt to fight the crown prince. He's always stopped by the guards but he never gives up. His people is treated badly compared to the Numineans and he wants equality. Edward believes that if he can just meet (and fight) the crown prince he can force him into doing something to help his race, but the truth is that the royal council is the one in charge.

Edward gets wounded in one of these battles and almost dies, but he saw something during this near-death experience. Someone in the distance... Talking to him... But he doesn't understand. Once he wakes up he gets obsessed with finding out who this person is, if they're even real. And when he does... He might regret entering the land of the dead to find the God of Death.

Trivia:

• Edward was created sometime in early 2008.
• He was initially based on Ryou Bakura and Yami Bakura from Yu-Gi-Oh!
• Only his dad can call him Ed and he gets visibly upset if anyone else does.
• Being short doesn't bother him at all.
• He works at his father's tavern as a waiter.
