Raek was originally an aspect of Alrenil's mind, eventually managing to free himself from his binds. Confused and slightly lost he now wanders the world, looking for his own footing and who he actually is without his old host body. He wants to see the world for himself, persue his own hobbies and perhaps even leave a mark on this new world.
Appearance
Raek is rather short, about the size of a child. His skin is a slightly tanned color, his talons and lower arms are covered in black scaling. Black feathers sprout from his neck, as well as the scaled parts of his arms. His feather collar can move with his mood and is often used as an indicator of such. His hair is blonde, but he has a lot of black fluff on his head as well, making it appear as if partially shaven, his hair is usually worn in a ponytail. On his upper arms he has two tribal-like band tattoos. He usually wears little else but a poncho or a cloak over his shoulders with a decorative shoulder piece to keep it in place.
- His ears are very long and used in unison with his feather collar to emote. They can, in fact, move.
- His nails have a curve to them, this is most notable on the nails on his feet.
- His lower body is mostly humanoid but covered in feathers as well as having bird-like legs and a tail.
- His mouth is black in color, as is his tonge. The top of his tongue fades to the tip with a blue color.
- His teeth are pointy and akin to that of a shark.
- His eyes are a brownish red color.
Personality
Raek does his best to stay as distant from people as possible, past experiences teaching him that not everyone should be trusted on face-value, however he also desperately wants to make friends. It's very important to him that he learns his own lessons and not just the things he was taught during his time with Alrenil. He is fairly chipper and exited but can also take on a serious stance when a situation calls for it. He has some trouble managing his own emotions, making him occasionally come off as overbearing with them. He is not at all as guillable as he might look on a first glance, but that doesn't mean he won't make use of that to get something he wants. He's fairly happy to use his charms to get out of situations if he needs to, or to get something out of a situation.
He finds it hard to make friends, mostly struggling with when someone is considered a real friend and not simply an ally. He also tends to hold onto grudges, even if he does not remember the actual reason why.
Trivia
- Raek likes to travel and carve small figurines out of the wood he comes across, selling them to people he runs into.
- Aside from his wood carving hobby, he also has an interest in blacksmithing by hand, not with fancy machines.
- He is tone deaf to the point he thinks he can sing and play instruments very well, but it actually sounds like someone is strangling an animal.
- He enjoys hoarding spoons and other small cutlery, some of his collection is hand-carved by himself.
- He was born from Alrenil's mind, originally being little more than a voice of reason to a broken vampire. But as his unstable magic and emotions got worse, Raek became more and more his own person, but still trapped in an unstable mind.
- Despite Avia being a fairly social species, Raek prefers to be on his own. He also prefers a single partner over the commonly seen harem groups.
- His feet are essentially extra hands, they can hold onto objects and even pick things up. However he can not manipulate objects as easily with them as he can with his hands.
- Right now he's still in a very strong phase of denial that he thinks some men are sexy.
