Fennelspring

A dark gray, almost black spotted cat with stripes on his legs, tail, and neck. He has bright green eyes and a gray nose. He has lighter gray markings on his paws, lower chest, muzzle, and around his eyes. He is slender and compact, and his fur is short and dense. He has a bit of RBF; it's rare for him to look truly happy.

Despite Fennelspring's high skill, he does not flaunt his work. He works hard to make his clanmates happy, and does not need praise for doing so.

+Loyal+
He would never dream of leaving or betraying his Clan. He will live and die as a member of GladeClan.

+Frugal+
Fennelspring wastes nothing. Everything has a purpose, everything can find a way to be used; even if he has to put it aside for future use.

-Overthinker-
Every decision Fennelspring makes has likely been thought out a thousand times, sometimes in the span of mere seconds. His mind is always racing; it's hard for him to know true quiet.

-Lonesome-
Fennelspring is often seen alone; he swears he prefers the company of himself, but how much of that is really true?

-Suspicious of Outsiders-
Thanks to his GladeClan upbringing, he is distrustful of any loner or cat who isn't part of GladeClan. This has grown into an all out disdain for MoorClan due to their staunch difference in belief systems.

[Kithood}
Born to Shadowspeck and Oaktail, Fennelkit was one of two kits: his sister being Maplekit. The first few moons of life were uneventful; that is, until Fennel's sister disappeared from camp. His father came back with word that she had been taken by a hawk; she was pronounced dead that day. His parents were distraught; and Fennel quickly realized his parents were not the invincible cats all kits think their parents are.

He learned to blame his mother for Maplekit's death from his father, and grew distant and even harsh towards her.

{Apprenticeship}
Fennelpaw was apprenticed to a wily crafter by the name of Nimblefoot. Fennelpaw wasn't much for talking, which was fine with Nimblefoot after a moon. But the old tom had much to teach Fennelpaw, and he soaked up everything like a sponge. He took up the most unusual projects, stringing together items in a tandem that Nimblefoot never would have thought of. During this time, Fennelpaw also socially transitioned to a male, feeling that femininity did not suit him.

{Warriorhood}
Fennelpaw was given the name Fennelspring and became a full-fledged crafter. He learned to make armor for his Clanmates as extra protection from the jealous Clans that wanted to steal what GladeClan had. There was great pride in his work, and knowing that his paws had the ability to protect his clan mates always brought a certain satisfaction to him.

This dedication was recognized with Fennelspring's first apprentice: Ferretpaw. A happy, albeit lazy kitten, Fennelspring quickly went to work on trying to instill discipline and hard work into the young cat. Despite Ferretpaw trying to shirk his training, there was an inquisitive mind that Fennelspring saw; a mind that he knew could apply itself readily to crafting, if he could just find the right approach. A more whimsical cat would have quickly realized Ferretpaw needed to be taught in a series of games: but Fennelspring, for all his intelligence, did not catch on to this until later into his mentorship. Just when he felt he was finally making headway with Ferretpaw... The cat seemed to all but abandon his training entirely.

And then, tragedy struck. Ferretpaw's mother perished in what can only be described as a freak accident. Ferretpaw was never the same. Fennelspring's once spunky apprentice was now dejected and forlorn, following his training without a fuss. He receieved his warrior name soon after: Ferretspring. Fennelspring isn't quite sure what happened to his old apprentice, but he feels a responsibility to find out, to somehow make it okay.
