Bio
Elijah is very timid in nature and tends to stay to himself, not very good with socializing. He doesn't speak and hasn't for a very long time so most floss that know him assume he is unable too, instead he uses sign language. However, he just has a bad stutter that after years of bullying, made him go silent. He is very intelligent and curious about a lot of things, but most of all when it comes to his work as a Botanist. His collection of specimens is so rare and varied that it's renowned around the planet as one of the foremost medicinal collections of vegetation. Still, Elijah likes the strange and has hunted down some of the most mystifying plants (even discovering new ones), be it the cotton-candy fly eating scappler or the smiling caramel twists that let off a sound similar to giggling when the wind blows through them. Along with his botany, Elijah also has a collection of creepy crawlies, both dead and alive. Finding the beauty in them just as much as his greenery. He is very protective of all little creatures, and will be horrified to watch someone squish an insect in front of him. He even takes in the occasional garden snake or lizards.
Along with his inquisitive side, he also has OCD, so he is very meticulous when it comes to keeping his gardens and lab organized and clean. Which can be quite a pain at times, since he suffers from the misfortune of being very clumsy, constantly tripping over things or dropping objects that are breakable. Though he takes GREAT care when re-potting plants or nurturing them with his abilities.
He loves field work, and it's the only time he doesn't mind getting dirty as long as he can shower it off when he gets home. When no one is around to witness it, he'll sing to his plants, with a very beautiful voice. It's the only time he doesn't stutter. Even with how soft in nature he is, because of his other traits he is very awkward and anti-social. Spending all the years in school to get his doctors degree in solitude, usually with his face stuck in a book. Due to that reason, he has never had a romantic relationship or even a long term friendship. He assumes he is gay, because he has never been attracted to females, but at 30 he has never been kissed let alone lost his virginity.
