Profile

-Foster care and dead children-

-Given up by parents pretty soon after birth

-He grew up with pretty abusive foster parents,(arthur sidwell and susan sidwell)- still is coming to terms with this- sometimes makes excuses for them and tends to downplay it.

-When he was about 8 a new child named shay came to the foster care and they quickly became best friends. When they were eleven  the with were poking around in the storage room and found a necromancy grimore of sorts. For the next couple of weeks, they would sneak off-which was pretty easy tbh, the foster parents didn't really pay any attention to the children other than to feed and discipline- and practiced magic in secret.

-As a prank they cast a very weak ass form of ray of sickness onto their foster father,Causing him to start to sneeze and sniffle. He figured out who it was when he heard them giggling with saw the grimore in Trileon's hands. Author flipped his shit. He silently charged them and they ran away giggling thinking he was playing. Shay tripped and quickly threw Trileon the little ring he had that his parents had given him for safe keeping, just in case he "didn't make it".

-They realized that Arthur was not playing around when he brought down his fist directly onto shays ribs while he was laying prone. Trileon tried to pull him off, and yelled for him to stop, but Arthur didn't listen. Trileon then let out a strong wail at his foster dad and a wave of magic accidentally in his emotional state of distress. Arthur turned towards him and started to get up,and Trileon bolted into the Forrest in fear and to hide until nightfall.

-When he came back, he passes a dark patch in the dirt as he creeps into the house. He  sees a plate on the table that was left for him since he missed dinner. He eats and goes back into the room he shares with the other boys, thinking that all was fine. He didn't even register that Shay was not in the room. When he woke up at dawn and went down to help make breakfast,he looked around for shay, but  he was nowhere to be found. At break fast he asked what happened to him,and was informed that he had been adopted. After breakfast he went up to Arthur and kept asking questions about who adopted him, when they could see him,and just would not stop talking about shay. Arthur, fed up with being reminded of shay, slapped Trileon across the cheek and warned him not to mention him again. After this, Trileon started to walk on eggshells around his foster dad, which just seemed to piss him off more.

- A couple of weeks later, Arthur had to make a trip into park district two and forced trileon to come with him. After their business in silver-pine(?)- Trileon stayed in the cart while his foster dad did the business- he started acting weird on the way back. Being weirdly affectionate in an awkward manner, even "gifting" trileon with his very own jr. explorers pack, and getting very upset that trileon was still pretty scared of him. Halfway between the last town and the district border, through a dense Forrest , Arthur stopped the cart. Trileon was told to take his pack and to go make a fire while Arthur looks over their supplies. After Trileon gathered some little sticks a a few yards away from the carts and crouched down to make a fire, Arthur straight up abandoned him. After waiting for him to realize his mistake and come back for him-then having a nice cry when he realized that he wasn't coming back- he starts to hoof it towards where he thinks the nearest town is.

-The mage in the woods-

-He did not go in the right way at all.  The direction this child did go in eventually lead him to a middle sized clearing with a quaint two story house,(Honestly pretty much look like a non destroyed duskwood inn in wow, except with a balcony on the weird slope part). Relieved to find someone to help him, he barged right on in, only to find no one. The house was clearly well lived in, and didn't seem to have been abandoned. Not knowing how to get to any town, he stayed in the house and waited for its owner to return. And wait he did, living off of the rations in his pack and anything that could be easily found and consumed in the house. He tried to not touch anything for the first two days, but curiosity got a hold of him, and he started to look over the tomes that were scatted all over the house.

- Around five days in, Trileon was awoken to a staff pining him down. The master of the house has returned.  A tall, tanned, broad shouldered human with graying hair and a stern face was glaring down at him. Keeping trileon pinned,he demanded to know what he was doing in his house, and received a very shaky rendition of being left out in the forest on purpose by his caretaker, and how he stumbled upon the house. Not really wanting to deal with this do soon after coming home from a mission, he told the kid to just stay out of his way, and that they'll deal with it later.

-In the morning three days later, Trileon was abruptly woken up by this man who then told him that they were going into the nearest town that just so happened to have a women who is known to take in any stay children and raise them. The nearest town was about a half a day's ride away, which for the most part was awkwardly silent, the mage not knowing how to talk to people, and Trileon being afraid to anger him. As soon as the got to the town, they made a beeline straight towards where the woman lives.

- Or lived rather. After knocking on the door and having a teenager answer it, they found out that the woman who operates the semi orphanage has been missing for a couple of days, and the oldest child (fourteen) has been taken care of the other three children. The man introduced hims self as Gaelan to the oldest, and  begrudging took on the case to go find their mother. Trileon silently trailed after him, watching as he went to the sheriff to get information , then to the other residence in the town for clues. They didn't get any leads by the first night and had sleep in the town inn to then start up again in the morning. One person seemed to have information, but was reluctant to tell Gaelan the truth. Trileon, noticing that his only shot at a life not living on the streets might be going down the drain,  started to beg for the information and telling him why they're here. The man crumbled under the guilt trip, and informed them that he had seen the women go off into the nearby forest with a known debt collector the other day.

-Thanking the man, Gaelan and Trileon make their way into the forest, in the direction that the man said he saw them go. Deeper into the forest,  they find an abandoned camp that was completely messed up, like there was obviously a struggle here. Gaelan picks up a small dagger and attempts to scry for the women. After some time meditating, he opens his eyes and motions for Trileon to follow him. They made their way to a rather large building that seemed be unguarded. Not detecting any magic, he tells Trileon to wait outside behind a bush while he goes in and extracts the woman. Trileon does wait for a while, until he hears a loud conversation coming from behind him, and in a moment of panic,he run inside to see Gaelan helping a nice looking woman up,surrounded by a few unconscious men. Gaelan was pretty upset to see him in the doorway closer to the danger, and starts to scold him, causing Trileon to be think he might harm him as well. From behind, Trileon hears a distant loud shout and then running. A hand clamps onto his shoulder, and he lashes out in fear with non specific magic that seems to knock out the man directly behind him.

- Gaelan looks at him with a conflicted expression, and slowly approaches him like a spooked animal. He makes soothing noises, taking it step by step towards a non responsive Trileon. When he reaches Trileon he drops down to one knee and cast sleep on him while still speaking calmly to him. Trileon slumps over onto Gaelan, completely unconscious. He picks him up and gives him to the woman to carry, so that he can think and protect them if the need arrives. The walk back is fairly uneventful. When they got back to her house, her children see her coming and sort of tackler hug her, causing her to almost drop Trileon. Gaelan takes him and followers her inside her house and places him on the couch as per her order. They all have some kind of snack or something, while waiting for Trileon to wake up, ( I imagine it wasn't the spell anymore, but rather his body is exhausted after using so much energy to cast a spell).

-Upon waking up, he was given some water and food, and then Gaelan took him aside from the others, and explained to him his aptitude for magic and slightly stiltedly invited him back to his home to live and become his wizarding apprentice. Trileon was a little hesitant, since they came all this way, but decided to go with this person they sort of know, rather than stay with a complete stranger.

-The montage of growing up-

-He moved in with Gaelan officially, and spent most of his time learning magic with him and reading anything he could get his hands on.

- A month or so into his mentor-ship, Gaelan  finally admits to himself that he has no fucking clue how to raise a kid, and he pretty much begs one of his few friends who is good with kids to come live with him and help him raise this child. This friend was a half High elf half drow named Alur.

- After a half a year of "vacation",Gaelan went back to his job and would often leave for missions recovering magical artifacts for contractors, and would leave him with Alur. He was never gone for longer than a month though. Gaelan was at the house more than he was not. His reclaiming gigs usually payed extremely well, allowing him to stay with Trileon and Alur for the majority of the time.

-Trileon almost immediately latched onto Alur and very much enjoyed spending time with her. It was nice to feel like he had an actual mother that cared about him. Alur was very careful not to speak any under-common around him, as she was scared that it would frighten him. She kept this charade up until she an accident with an alchemy potion that caused her to curse in under-common. Instead of being scared of her using her peoples language, Trileon was very curious and immediately "demanded" that she teach him under-common so that they could tell secret messages to each other without any one else knowing what they were talking about! Of course Gaelan also knew under-common, but Trileon didn't know that.

-Over the years the three grew to be more like a family than a mentor, care taker and apprentice.

- A year in, Gaelan got into the habit of bringing little gifts with him when he came back from his missions. Most of the time it was small things, like small trinkets enchanted with little cosmetic modifiers, books about anything and everything( books about magical artifacts and the history of arcana are his favorite, but he'll read just about anything), and little components for new spells or potions.

- However in his thirteenth year,Gaelan came back with some crystals, some herbs, and a special type of wood for Trileon and him to make his own wand from. Up until now he had been using an old wand of Gaelan's to practice spells with. He also added the ring shay gave him onto his wand, and still uses to this day.

-On his fourteenth  year, he was given a rare Crayghe egg that Gaelan believed to be infertile. Trileon worked super hard to try to hatch the egg according to a book he had about falconry that he had,and after a few days, the egg actually hatched and out came a little Crayghe that he named shade. He hand raised it into a full fledged adult, and she was an amazing companion. Unfortunately he knew he wouldn't be able to bring her with him when he became an inquisitor and she had to stay with Alur and Gaelan.

- Near the end of his Fifteenth year, he was allowed to go on a simple reclaiming mission with Gaelan as a sort of trial run. Even though the adventure had some bumps, it was over all successful and from then on he went most missions with Gaelan, a year later Alur joined them out of boredom.  They became a family of reclaimers, and were known for having a extremely high success rate of extraction of items. Trileon stayed a mercenary reclaimer until his twenty second year where he was offered a job at the Arcana Research Facility(ARF) located in zoo district two.

-A respectable job-

- He of course took the offer. He was sad to leave his parents behind, but the allure of actually being able to examine and research the items that are found instead of just giving them over to a stranger was too strong.

-He was put into a dorm that was connected to another one on the left, with it's door wide open. He was surprised to find that ARF had everyone partners into two, and then these couples are sometimes assigned to task forces with other couples. Through the door, there was a Auburn haired female dwarf, unpacking her suitcase and setting up her room. She noticed Trileon and introduces herself as Renswild Balderr, although she prefers to go by Renn. She is a paladin of Gadriel and had became a member of ARF to keep magical artifacts out of dangerous hands and use them for good. They were just friendly at the beginning, but after a few missions they became pretty tight.

-Renn was a strong, fiercely just woman. There were often times when she had to pull a team through an almost impossible situation, she refused to leave anyone behind if there was even a fraction of chance they could be saved. When at the base she was always joking around and often kept Trileon company while he would conduct research.

- The two of them were partners for the next five years, sticking together through the ups and downs, until one particular mission they went on for went terribly wrong. They were sent to go after an artifact that the facility had been searching for for years. All that was know of the item was that in order to use or interact with it someone has to attune their soul to it and create a sort of bond with it. The facility did not know exactly what it did, but from ancient text it is implied that it is a item of pure light that can be used to conjure up things. It was being kept by a collector who had recently just died, and Trileon,Renn and one other couplet were tasked with finding in his estate and retrieving it. As the item needed a bond to move and interact with, the plan was to have the four of them bond with it and then head the research when they got back to the base.

-The Estate was abandoned and filled with traps and puzzles.Things were dicey, and they had been separated from the other couple along the way and were pretty injured by the time they reached the light. There were no traps that could be detected, and Renn volunteered to be the first to touch the artifact just in case there were traps. Before Trileon could argue with her, she reached out her hand and touched the light.

-Suddenly there was a blinding bright light as a force threw Trileon into the wall. When he open his eyes, there were scorched marks around the pedistole the light was on and Renn was nowhere to be seen. He yelled and searched for her all day, but at the end of the day he had to admit that she wasn't there anymore. When he got back to the base, and retold the story to his supervisor, they gave him their sympathy and expressed their own grief at losing Renn. Trileon was given a few days leave to mourn.

- when he got into his room, he was surprised to see an inquisitor in there. She informed Trileon that facility had mistranslated the text about the artifact that it  was much more than it seemed. Renn may be gone, but that didn't mean she could never be found, and that if Trileon joined the inquisitors he would have access to a much more in-depth library of magic, full clearance of the ARF and more power to use to find her. Trileon took the job of course. He took the necklace that she would always wear on base that matched his own(each group had pendants that marked them as part of a pair. They were very similar, but not the same), and wears both of them at all times.

-Inquisitor of zoo district two-

-He searched for a year, following many leads only for them to hit dead ends. He was starting to lose hope when he was put on a multiple person  task force that would meet in the main inquisition base and grant him full access to all of  the inquisitor's library, as well as the possible assistance of well known magic users who might have knowledge about the light.

-Their first mission took place in park district two. Unfortunately Trileon never found the time to go visit Gaelan and Alur, whom he had not seen since Renn has gone missing.
