Personality

She has a mischievous streak and a need for stimulation which makes her constantly messing with something or another. She is also easily excited and wears her (positive) emotions on her sleeve. Rather impatient.

History

Ctya (her name is based on her childhood misproununcation of Cynthia) is a goblin of a tenebrous background. She was raised by English human monks who took her in as an orphan only to be displaced by conflicts within Christianity (rise of Anglicism in England). When she got older she left for lower Europe to do some soul-searching and finally came across more of her kind. A group of goblins eagerly took her in, fascinated by her ability to read English and considering that a great asset. There, Ctya soon fell in love with a young male goblin who was slated to become the next medic, a traditionally celibate position.

Ctya and the medic apprentice's romance was kept secret. To evade discovery they would meet in the daylight since goblins are traditionally nocturnal. This was dangerous, however, and led to them being seen. Because of this, her partner died at the hands of humans. Ctya blamed herself for his death. She had been given a white feather  to mark her as part of the clan. Since it was custom for muderers to get branded with a red mark, to warn other goblins. Ctya herself dyed this feather as an admission of her guilt. She then fled, heartbroken and sickened. She took the red feather with her and never parts with it if she can help it.

Ctya compensates for her issues by trying to live in the moment as much as possible, making her behavior seem capricious and even childish to others. Being humorous and on her feet is what keeps her going. This is compounded by the natural inclination of goblins to be more hyperactive and excitable when compared to a neurotypical human. Many also engage in behaviors that seem compulsive to non-goblins, such as constantly tying knots or touching things (Both of which Ctya is prone to). She's still not an unhappy figure, though, just lonely. Above all else Ctya wants to find a place where she can feel at home. She has not really had that yet.

Ctya feels very conflicted about her views on humans. But mostly she exaggerates her dislike for them. Still, her wariness was enough to bond with Taylor immediately upon noticing his elven traits.
