His parents were from Alola and came to the island, seeking refuge from a dangerous situation. Because of that, Maka feels indebted to the islanders and will do anything to protect them and Tapu Fini. His eyesight is so bad he’s almost blind, but he can use his psychic abilities to sense his surroundings. He’s usually very calm and offers sage advice.
