Sandstorm is an orphaned cub who was found by Duststorm and Silverstorm on the edge of the Stone Forest. He was too small to have any memory of his real parents, who were presumably lost to the gutters who reside within the canyon.

Thus, the two took him in as their son and with Splittingstorm joining later to be an unofficial "big sis", Sandstorm finally has a family once again. The little cub has more energy than all of his relatives put together, constantly pulling pranks and answering back to his more protective parent, Silverstorm. He's also one for telling tall tales, constantly insisting that he was once an heir within a pride of honourable Knights and he was going to be the best Knight of all. You get the gist.

In short, he can be a lil snot. This puts him at odds with Heatstorm, who has very little time for his bratty behaviour. Nevertheless, he is affectionate to all members of the Traveller band and can be level-headed when the time calls for it.
