Most would describe Matill as a posh, shallow, schoomzer of a lady. Her interest in her own appearal is charming to some and obnoxious to others. She is a big flirt, seemingly assuming that every man she meets could be the one. She is a big romantic and she can't wait to settle down and live a regular life.

Present

Matill met Maxen Valen in an abandoned burned down circle, them not hitting it off and getting absolutly spiteful with one another. They decided they could help each other achieve their goals and so they traveled together for a moment, the man offering help for Matill with blood magic. Matill wished for youth, this not a simple spell and so it took months to achieve said ritual. The two growing closer over that span of time, a toxic and spiteful romance was born from that point on. The two passionate but their strong personalities clashing at every argument the two had, both of them afraid to be alone even in their hatred. They perform the ritual and are now youthful forever, now spending the rest of their time together. Their relationship stays in the realm of toxicity until one ritual failed and they were suddenly faced with the genderbend versions of themselves. Matill stuck with Maxime whilst Maxen was stuck with Matill's counterpart Marc, the night passes until they have enough magic to perform the ritual once again. Over that span of time apart, they were able to reflect with their partner's counterpart, now understanding one another more. After this encounter their relationship becomes healthier and they plan to wed, their story closing in as they are married and born two children.

Past 18-24

The two performed everywhere they go, they get hired by innkeepers and tavern owners. They’ve gotten to know a lot of people that way. The reputation of bards is of course that they are usually spies, the two have been approached for that kind of business but have only accepted the offers on occasion.Matill is a big romantic, she dreams of the day of settling down with a husband that loves her dearly. She adores children and would like to have them in the future. Matill sleeps around quite often but that’s because she is very open with her sexuality. The longest relationship she has had was with Remon Bourbeau, he was anything she dreamt of, at least she thought so. After a while Remon became furious by the closeness of Lothar and Matill, even though the duo were not sexually involved during the relationship – Lothar would never come in between someone’s relationship. Remon started abusing Matill, unable to leave the relationship. Eventually the two parted ways – probably because of Lothar’s help and the support of her friends – leaving Matill with bad memories and Remon with a broken heart. She was 23 years old at that time. At her 24th Matill woke up to Lothar missing from their bed, he had left her a note that he went to join the mage rebellion. She was now alone.

Past 9-18

Whilst living in the circle, Matill got around by befriending and having relations with templars. She passed her harrowing at age 16, started sleeping around when she was 17. The most memorable templar from Matill’s life has to be Caius, a gentle innocent young man who was sadly too easily invested in Matill. Matill is not ashamed to admit that she used Caius’ opinion of her to her advantage. The day she planned her escape Caius got her a package with cloaks, essentials and the key to the lower levels of the tower; long hallways leading outside. Caius also put a letter with the package, Matill still owns this letter but is reminded by her lying whenever she reads it. She promised the boy that they’d be reunited one day. But she honestly hasn’t thought about the boy after getting out. The last she heard was that he got transferred to the circle in Kirkwall. Another friend of hers was transferred to Denerim, where he destroyed her and Lothar’s phylactery. She escaped with her closest friend Lothar, and they now live their lives as traveling bards. When they got out Matill was sceptical, she found herself crying in Lothar’s arms as soon as they made it to safety. She was wondering if she made the right decision, if she was able to control her magic without being watched carefully. It took a while before Matill saw herself as anything else but a monster. Lothar convinced her after a while, it’s safe to say that Lothar saved Matill from herself.
