Icy Shatterfrost

Icy Shatterfrost, or simply Icy, is a female pegasus that lives in ponyville. She was supposed to live in Cloudsdale, but due to her not being able to fly until her adulthood, she has spent most of her life in Ponyville and continues to live there along with her parents.

Her coat color is light blue (light opalish gray) and the feathers of her wings are a normal gray. Her manes are ice blue going into a soft black whilst being striped with white. Her eyes are sky blue, with the top of the iris being purple. She has an average height and is a young-adult.

She is a lovely pony that would never ever hurt a soul. She is a very sweet pony with a good heart and even though she can be quite... Bossy at some times, she never intends anything that she said to be rude. Icy has respect for others and even when she's angry she will never ever shout at them - she just hides her feelings. She is a professional in hiding emotions and her closest friends know this. They try to  convince her not to bottle them up, but she can be as stubborn as a mule. Icy is afraid of what others think of her, especially when others see she cannot fly very well. Icy has been bullied a lot before and she has doubted herself a lot of times. She thought she was a curse and this is the sole reason why she hides her emotions. She does not want others to think she is indeed a cursed mare walking around Ponyville. Her friends are always there for her though, and she appreciates all the effort they do - even when she doesn't always show it.

Her cutiemark represents a sun-shaped snowflake, without the branches, surrounded by lots of frost. Unlike most other ponies, she got her cutiemark when she was a young-adult mare, not too long ago. She had a hard time finding it, being afraid that she wouldn't even have a special talent. Her cutiemark symbolizes that even when you're shattered, every piece can make up a bigger piece, to be one with yourself. Once she agreed on terms with her soul, and finally accepted herself for who she is, the cutiemark appeared. And she will forever cherish that moment.
She has been on a tour through the whole land of Equestria to find for it together with her friends. She thought it was hopeless, but they helped her succeed, and they are very proud of her accomplishments.


As a young adult, she learned to fly whilst she was very desperate. A bird, which is now her pet, helped her to sync her wings and thrive her into flight.
Every now and then, she has to orden her feathers straightly. She can't fly as high as other ponies, but she thinks that the height she can reach was already worth it. Once she learned to fly, she finally truly found herself, and she was happier than ever before in her entire life. Because she finally felt, like she was worth it.

On a different note, she called the bird that helped her Pure Wing and adopted it as her pet, so now you'll often find both of them spending time together. (Alongside the other birds of the group she adopted without signing the papers lol).


Trivia

Her design is partly inspired by Snowdrop, a filly pony character from SFS Studio with a beautiful story.
Icy Shatterfrost's development name was Iris Snowstain or simply Snowy.
Icy was indeed born in winter.
Icy's personality is partly inspired by MLP's Fluttershy.
The first concept idea for her was to make her an albino pony. I already have an idea for a kid of hers to be an albino or something in that trend, though!
She smells like mint.
