Description

Lupinus Acinonyx are savannah dwelling natives of Caisos' rolling fields and deserts. They are similar to real world cheetahs, with the exception of a more canine-like head structure and somewhat stockier body. As a result, they aren't capable of the same speeds, but they are a bit sturdier than cheetahs would typically be. (And most certainly very fast runners anyways, easily outrunning their prey and other species in the grasslands). They are pack animals, but don't grow terribly large, despite this they are still very efficient hunters.

They are generally very skittish and passive, rarely threatening larger prey unless desperate and great in number. Since there are many larger predators, they mostly use their speed to escape.

In modern times, they've become something of exotic pets, where people keep them and race them similarly to greyhounds. This is however, highly illegal.

Origins

Lupinus Acinonyx are native evolved species to Caisos.

Despite being canine/feline hybrid in appearance, they are true members of neither, being something strangely muddled from a common ancestor.

Cheetahs themselves do not exist in this world, meaning they are a fantastical equivalent/similarity
