Background

Early Life

Born from Tamris and Dumac as Dh'aaniel Bthund'ni Dwarfking, his mother died in childbirth; his father was not long thereafter having to find himself fighting in a war, assigning caretakers and mentors in his stead, visiting his son when he could. Two notables were Kagrenac and Yagrum Bagarn, the former of which the young mer soon grew attached to. Being heavily empathic, he'd find himself feeling lonely more often than not, even with building little 'friends' and sneaking out to play in Fal'Zhardum Din. A very active child, he was near always in motion, often getting him into trouble if he was not fidgeting with or working on projects, even sneaking into the castles belonging to the then-dwelling vampires below, managing to pop up on the surface on two seperate occasions and getting himself stuck in a chaurus pit, leading him to fear them.

The Heart

Dh'aan is very in tune with tones, sounds and feelings. The moment they uncovered Lorkhan's heart, it awoke something within the young dwarf, and often he would seek comfort from the artifact when things were rougher, hiding below it and sleeping. He describes it sounding like 'a beautiful song with many harmonies', likely due to his mnemolic nature, and has attempted countless times to replicate the sound he hears with little to no success. Later on, it would come to replace his own heart through a series of events starting with one happening before his demise.
