A could-be character for a fantasy setting. Their passion to learn and perfect all things magic is admirable, but boy howdy are they reckless. Every crack on their fur/skin is from a spell or item backfiring on them. They haven't lost any limbs or fallen apart, yet, so it doesn't stop them from studying and trying again.
They're a regular at practically every library, and the ones that don't know them will; once they bribe their way into staying after the building closes. If they're carrying a book that's not from their personal collection, they may have borrowed it from the owner of a quaint little 'guidepost'.
