she moved to japan to live with a close friend of hers after getting fed up with her home life. they lived a stable life for years, up until the friend went to travel to visit their family. they never returned, and are still a missing person to this day.

astrid got tired of dealing with the grief of likely loosing her closest friend, so she moved to a different part of the country for a breath of fresh air, ending up in the town of kanzakai. within the first week of moving into her new place, she gets caught in the hollow night on the way home, and gets attacked. she survives, and doesn't know how to comprehend the newfound energy in her body. she runs into a mysterious woman and find herself in conflict. after a brief scuffle, the woman, impressed by astrid's newfound power, invites her to her faction. astrid agrees, wondering why the woman in front of her seems so alluring...

astrid trains and hones her abilities with the help of her new teammates/co-workers. she studies up on the hollow night and starts to wonder what really happened to her friend.

her EXS ability allows her to manipulate and manifest flesh, bone, and muscle. she can use this ability to grow extra limbs, enhance her own limbs, and craft weapons and tools out of bone.

• she is close friends with gordeau and chaos. the two of them think that she's insane for thinking she can get through hilda's thick skull. "i can fix her," she says constantly.
• her bandages are wrapped in a way to fine-tune where she draws the EXS from her body to manifest things from. she also thinks the look is cool
