Tsubaki Andrews

Typically a magical girl, Kamen Rider, or some other transforming hero, Tsubaki's the youngest of three siblings, specifically being the youngest daughter of one of my other major characters, Iris. She's always got red eyes (thanks to supernatural powers or just plain old albinism if that's not an option), but is one of the sweetest, kindest, and most cheerful people you could meet, always wearing her heart on her sleeve.

She's ostracized from a young age for various reasons, be it because her eyes make her see Spirits and thus she makes kids scared of her by accident since she draws them, or just plain bullying over the red eyes, so she's instead really close with her parents and siblings. And she's canonically lesbian and not afraid to wear that flag with pride, seeing zero reason to hide being queer since literally every member of her immediate family is LGBTQ as well. (Her mother's bi, her father's non-binary, her big sister's also lesbian, and her big brother's gay.)

She's a talented gymnast and she's physically fit, but her real passion is for art. She's constantly carrying around a sketchbook she's had for years, drawing whatever inspiration strikes her and seeking to eventually go professional with it. Elementally, she's always associated with passionate fire, and she's got a bit of Chronic Hero Syndrome, she can't stand by if she sees someone in trouble. Which is why it's fitting that she gains powers and transforms. She can secretly have an envious streak at times given her history of being shoved aside by her peers, but she finds friends for the first time in high school, even if lack of socialization outside her family has left her stunted in that department. And she's also WAY more skilled with a sword than any typical girl her age should be.
