-PERSONALITY
Lorua, in a nutshell, is a tomboy. When it comes to fashion, she has very little sense. She would honestly rather wear the same thing for the rest of her life, and prefers death over any form of shopping. Grabbing her by the back of her shirt and dragging her is the only way you can get Lorua to any type of store. Although she despises any form of frills or elegance, Lor will wear skimpy clothing that shows off lots of skin, using the excuse that it is easy to move around in. Because of her constant acrobatics, similar to a gymnast, Lor likes to wear tight yet simple apparel.
Similar to her brother, Lorua comes off as very stubborn and hotheaded, normally reacting before any thought is made. She is brash and childish, and will prove so in situations. Although she has her faults, Lorua is exceedingly loyal, one of her most dominant traits. She will do whatever it takes to protect those she cares about and is very dedicated to her family (blood related or otherwise). Lorua is also both very honest and earnest, but can also be cautious and secretive as well. It depends on whether or not you are on good terms with her.
Lorua is well known for her childlike quirks. She’ll jump around and pester others with an adventurous smirk dawning her face. She’ll spit back at others who set off her vicious temper with witty comments and maybe a punch or two. Lorua enjoys a good fight and similar to Natsu, will challenge anyone to a one on one. During her 3 year absence, Lorua learns the concept of independence, something she was familiar with as a child but never truly embraced. She becomes more of her own, filling into the spitfire young adult she is destined to be. Her excitement or anxiety, even as a child, can cause the worst power outages or fluxes in all of Magnolia, garnering her the distasteful nickname of “Lights Out Lorua”.
Her worst faults are in her stubbornness, avarice, and gluttony. Lorua constantly eats while blowing off all her money in attempts to gamble with fate. Some of her most well known quirks are her tendencies to roll her R’s, her chocolate loving stomach, and her constant use of the word “yeah?” sporting a question mark at the end. Lor isn’t the smartest or most analytical individual, but during a fight her reflexes help her avoid attacks and allows her the advantage to step back and make quick and decisive decisions. You definitely won’t be seeing her standing back making attack strategies. She’s also seemingly oblivious of anything relating to human contact and relationships. She has no personal bubble and assumes others don’t either. Even as a child, she didn’t really understand much that didn’t have to do with punching, kicking, and magic. She also doesn’t think much of honorifics, normally throwing away any -sans or -samas or other suffixes.
-HISTORY
Born 4 years after Laxus, Lorua was a strong and healthy child, opposing her older brother’s small and more feeble structure. Lor was a firecracker, constantly bouncing off the walls with immaculate energy. She knew everyone in the guild and everyone knew her. Ivan and Lor held a close bond, the latter always snuggling up with the former and going out on walks in town. When Laxus began taking up magic, Lorua took the initiative to follow in his footsteps a year later. What Lorua didn’t know was that her father went behind everyone’s back and implanted lacrima into Laxus’s head. When this was revealed, the heartbroken little girl watched from behind Makarov as Ivan was forever banned from Fairy Tail. This caused her to become more distant and to herself, unsure of what to think or feel. Not having two parental figures pushed Lorua to cling to Laxus. Yet Laxus grew more independent, forcing Lorua to do the same. As Laxus continued to take up Lightning Magic, Lorua followed along from behind. She knew she’d never be as good as him, but still put in as much effort as she could. It was also tough due to her instability. Albeit strong and energetic from birth, Lorua was never truly stable. Learning magic made this issue more apparent as she continued on the path of wizardry.
As time moved forward, Lorua continued to feel inferior to her brother, hiding in his massive shadow as people began to forget the great Makarov had two grandchildren. Lor continued to make friends and positively impact the younger generation, but she held within her a fear that she’d never become strong, never be noticed. This gripping fear lay dormant in her until Lorua decided to take it upon herself to change. Once she turned 16, she asked Makarov for permission to leave the guild and travel, stating that she wanted to see the country. In actuality, she planned on finding a mentor and training constantly until results emerged. This leave of absence lasted for three years.
When Lorua first left, she made her way through town after town, until one day catching wind of a so-called beast living in the woods to the south. These massive, dense forests collected into one massive jungle was known as the Summit Brush. This place was rarely explored due to the violent flora and fauna inhabiting its depths. It was even greater a threat due to the stories of a monster residing inside. This piqued Lorua’s curiosity, causing her to take the trip inside. The monsters, although vicious, were rather easy opponents compared to her fellow guildmates. Lorua began to feel that the stories were all hype until she came across a massive beast being attacked by an even greater foe. The large two-legged creature easily beat down its larger opponent, showcasing a spectacular sight of electricity. Lorua instantly knew she needed to learn more from this person. She quickly approached the demon known as Kisa, an ex-Tartaros member who disagreed with his leader’s [Mard Geer] ideals. Lorua learned that Kisa’s magic was that known as Devil Slayer Magic, a technique known by demons for demons. After days of begging, Kisa finally relented to teach Lorua his craft. The two spent three years training, for learning this magic and perfecting it both were not an easy nor quick task. Unfortunately, those 3 years were short-lived as members of Tartaros [Jackal, Ezel, and Tempester] found Kisa and attacked. Lorua attempted to help, but only got in the way. This prompted Kisa to push Lorua down into a ditch in order to save her from his ex-guildmates. As he pushed her, he quickly transferred all of his magic into her. He was killed only seconds later.
Lorua woke up from this a couple days later, unable to recollect everything that happened. Frantically, Lorua began searching for Kisa before looking down at her arm. There she noticed the familiar black marking Kisa had prior. Lorua began to panic, screaming and crying as she tried to find her mentor, although already well aware of the outcome. Shaken up, Lorua stayed hidden in the Summit for a few months before deciding to leave and carry on Kisa’s trust in her. She developed a pure hatred for demons, deciding that she’d exact revenge on them all for her mentor. Lor eventually made her way back to Magnolia, knowing she had to return home. Lor had lived in the grip of nature for three years and had no knowledge of what Fairy Tail had been up to, especially that her brother had been exiled for his Battle of Fairy Tail plot.
Unable to keep her excitement and anxiety to a minimum, Lor caused a power outage throughout the entire area, prompting her guild to conclude that she was in fact returning home. Lorua came back right before the trip to Tenrou and right after Gildarts’s return.

-RELATIONSHIPS
● Laxus Dreyar [Nii-san | Lorua]
Lorua adores her onii-chan and has always had an amazing relationship with him. They trust each other and work like one person when together. As children, Lorua was always opposite of the weaker and less magically capable Laxus, this being the reason why Ivan never experimented with Lacrima on her. Yet her Achilles Heel is the fact that she can't control herself, while Laxus has perfect control over his magic. Like Laxus with Makarov, Lorua feels as though she's hidden under the large shadow of her brother, and this is true in some instances. Sometimes people forget Makarov had another grandchild. Lorua is said to be the only person that can calm him down, but she was absent during the Battle of fairy Tail to do anything. Lorua has no idea of those events because the guild decides to keep it a secret of Laxus's exile until Laxus is ready to tell her. Lorua, when fighting Laxus, does not consume his lightning, for she says it tastes like dirty shoes; while on the other hand, Laxus thinks Lorua's lightning tastes like candy with a sour aftertaste. Lorua is closest with her brother, causing them to get in fights from time to time. Normally this revolves around Ivan.
● Mirajane Strauss [Mira | Lorua-chan]
When Mira, Elfman, and Lisanna first came to the guild, Lorua was one of the first to greet the three siblings. She was one of the first friends Mirajane made, the two both the same age and having several similar qualities. They would tend to get into trouble, but would also spend their time together taking baths and exploring Magnolia. Mira was also the reason Lorua started modeling for a short amount of time, asking Lorua to take her place for a shoot when Mira came down with the flu. The two also look somewhat similar, sporting similar hairstyles and colors. When they were younger, Mira and Lorua experimented with yellow paint, trying to give Mira a similar feature Lorua had. It ended very messy and with lots of scolding from the older guild members.
● Makarov Dreyar [Ojīchan | Lorua]
Lor greatly looks up to both Makarov and her bloodline, which boasts a powerful wizard lineage. As a child Lor would always run over to him yelling “Ojīchan! Ojīchan!”, glomping him with a giant bear hug. When she returns home from her three year absence, she does the same thing for old times sake. She is frustrated with him when he bans Ivan due to her lack of understanding why and what he had done to Laxus. Makarov and Lorua are very close, often sharing things with each other with no worries. Lorua worries over his health, as he pushes himself constantly despite his age. Makarov begins to figure out Lorua’s magic after the Grand Magic Games, sending her to find Requiem as a sort of “I know what you’re hiding” signal to her. When she returns, she confesses everything, following Lyon’s advice to not distance herself further from the people who care.
● Ivan Dreyar [Otōsan | Lorua]
Despite her family hating him, Lorua loved her dad. She always clung to him as a child, her love unbreakable and undoubted. Ivan would always take her out to see Magnolia and teach her things, while also buying her large quantities of chocolate bars. She was crushed when Makarov sent him away, and still held some sort of a longing to see him again. Lorua rarely brought Ivan up, due to her family’s shame towards him. When she sees his actions in the Grand Magic Games, she is further hurt by this, leaving the stands in a flash of tears and remorse. She later visits him in captivity, confronting him over his past actions and asking whether he truly cared for her. Although that meeting ended terribly, Lorua still firmly believes she loves her father, no matter how twisted and warped he may have been.
● Erza Scarlet [Erza | Lorua]
Like Mirajane, Lorua was the first to greet Erza when she first came to the guild. Lor and Erza had an interesting relationship in that Erza moreover kept Lor in check, reigning in her spunky energeticness. The two, in similarity, have no concept of personal space. While Erza is very mature and composed, Lorua is her complete opposite, which only brought the two closer. Whenever Mira or Erza got into fights as children, though, Lorua would play neutral and watch while laughing it off. Erza grew to be someone Lor has a deep respect for, the two sharing a very close bond since childhood. Lor never truly feared Erza like the rest of the younger cast. Similar to Mira, Lor understands Erza well, even when she snaps at others and gives off a bossy attitude.
● Kisa [Sensei | Kakko]
Lorua’s mentor, Kisa had little interest in her when they first met, shrugging her off and leaving her behind on several occasions. Yet her persistence and potential was what made Kisa turn the other cheek. Lor respected Kisa immensely, following all of his orders with little hesitation or complaint. At nights, Lorua would sneak over to him and grab onto his cloth wrap as she slept. He didn’t approve of this at first, but begrudgingly came to enjoy her presence and company. Yet in the back of his mind, Kisa new Lorua may never be able to master let alone learn slayer magic due to her current instability, yet he continued to teach her what he knew. If he were still alive, he’d question his irrational decision of giving his power to Lorua in his dying moments, but he has put his faith in her, and his ultimate trust.
● Natsu Dragneel [Natsu | Lorua]
Natsu had always been considered the little brother Lorua never had. He was wild, aggressive, and energetic sporting a very loyal and headstrong personality. Lorua felt a connection to Natsu, probably because of their uncanny similarities. Natsu would always challenge Lorua to a fight, normally ending with the latter slamming him into the ground with one punch to the face. Lor would also use him as her personal heater for the longest time, and would even go so far as to keep him inside during the winter just to stay with her. She used to take baths with him, Gray, and Erza, something their generation tended to do on occasions, proving their close bond. Lor and Natsu also have voracious eating habits, normally eating together many times.
● Gray Fullbuster [Gray | Lorua]
Gray is someone Lorua knew since childhood. She was present when he first arrived, and the two were able to bond. He was always a kinda kid brother type to her, Lorua constantly looking out for him and nailing him on the head when he and Natsu got into fights. When Lor sees Gray again after the Avatar Arc, she learns of his Devil Slayer magic. She and him have a moment as she confesses her past to him and her slayer magic. He promises the two will work through it and help each other keep their sanity. Gray is someone Lorua knows she can go to, and sees him more of a close friend and confidant than a little, immature brother.
● Lyon Vastia [Lyon | Lorua]
Although the love of her life, Lorua began by despising the ice mage for his cocky personality and suspicion of her. The two constantly traded insults and even sparred when Lyon called her out for not revealing her magic earlier. Once the group settles down for the night, Lorua begins to lose control of her slayer magic. This tends to happen on a weekly basis so it's quite common. She is interrupted by Lyon, who awoke from her sobs and heavy breathing. She decides to confess about her learning Devil Slayer Magic and not being able to properly control it. Lyon agrees to keep it a secret. This is when Lorua's heart goes doki-doki and she begins to feel odd emotions towards him. After her final battle, Lorua passes out and awakens to being carried by Lyon back to meet the group. When Lorua returns to Lamia Scale a couple months later to collect Fairy Tail's portion of the reward, Lyon confesses to Lorua, officially making the two a couple. Lorua returns later when she learns of Fairy Tail's disbanding. For the year long time skip, Lorua spends all her time in Lamia and with Lyon, Chelia, and Wendy.
● Chelia Blendy [Chelia | Lorua-chan]
Chelia is Lorua’s best friend at Lamia Scale, almost to the point of her being considered a younger sister figure. The two meet after the Grand Magic Games and immediately get along. Lor doesn’t really understand her whole obsession with love, but respects her friend’s interests. Chelia is Lorua’s relationship guide during her campaign with Lamia Scale, pushing her to think more about her feelings and consider listening to her heart once in awhile. The two continue to stay close, even after Lorua leaves to return to a newly built Fairy Tail.
● Leigh Eclair [Leigh | Lorua]
Lorua’s best friend and (fun fact) first kiss as a child. The two grew up with each other, hanging onto Laxus’s arms every step of the way. It was because of Laxus that the two met in the first place. The two start off with a jealous rivalry over who got Laxus, but soon their childish animosity bloomed into a tight friendship. Leigh was the only one who Lorua told about her true purpose for leaving on her 3 year trip: her feelings of being in her brother’s shadows and not being strong enough. When the two see each other, Lorua childishly sprints to her lifelong friend and clings onto her in a massive hug with a small peck on the cheek. Their bond is unbreakable and something Lor cherishes deeply.
● Ava Sommers [Ava | Lorua]
Lorua was not there when Ava first joined the guild. Yet upon her return, Lor took to meeting every new member since her departure. She hit it off with Ava on their way to Tenrou Island for the S Class exams. Ava is Lor’s outlet, someone she goes to when she needs a level headed opinion. Lor also learns how to be a little more domestic from Ava’s teachings. Ava is her love guru, Lor normally visiting her when she needs help with her feelings or relationship situations.
● Mia Limett [Mia | Lorua]
Mia is the opposite of Lorua. Sweet, caring, and adorable. Lor sometimes envies Mia’s ability to just genuinely be cute and gentle, unlike Lorua’s brash, hotheaded self. The two get along well and enjoy each other's company. Lor enjoys watching Mia shoot with her bow, enjoying her magic as it hits its mark. Through Mia, Lor meets Jask, Arran, and Aurelia, whom she forms bonds with as well. She constantly tries to break Jask’s stone cold demeanor, but the two get along. Arran and Lor are both wild, easily forming a goofy excited bond.
-MAGIC AND ABILITIES
Lightning Devil Slayer Magic サンダー滅悪魔法 (Kaminari no Metsuaku Mahō): A form of Dragon Slayer Magic which allows Lorua to use and manipulate all forms of electricity in order to hunt and kill Demons. Similar to other Slayer Magic, the user is able to ingest and produce their respected element. Devil Slayer Magic is a very fickle Magic, and that learning it too quickly and making use of its properties in rapid succession can have adverse effects on the user, causing them to become afflicted with black markings that spread across their entire body. Those who master this Magic are able to summon these markings at will, allowing them to become immune (to a limited degree) to the effects of Curses. The souls of those who hunt Demons start to become "tainted", leading the users of this Magic to progressively lose their sanity which can incite them to make irrational decisions. This magic also allows its users to obtain information about a Demon by just observing it for a second
● Lightning Devil's Rage サンダー悪魔の怒り (Kaminari akuma no ikari)
Similar to the average dragon slayer's "roar", Lorua takes in a large amount of electricity, releasing it in one massive beam from her mouth. Pretty much a carbon copy of Laxus's Lightning Dragon’s Roar, but specified for demons.
● Lightning Devil's Storming Paradox サンダー悪魔の押しかけるパラドックス (Kaminari akuma no oshikakeru paradokkusu)
Lorua's legs become electrified. She uses this to land flying kicks on her opponents. She’ll also leap up high and twist her body into a drill-like form, coming down on an opponent feet first. The more she charges up her kicks before attacking, the more powerful her attacks will be.
● Lightning Devil's Valiant Lucifer サンダー悪魔のヴァリアントルシファー (Kaminari akuma no vu~ariantorushifā)
Lorua's whole right arm turns into pure electricity while her marking glows and gives solely her arm an intense amount of power. She then uses her immaculate speed to get close to the enemy and land a deafening blow with her right arm.
● Lightning Drive サンダードライブ (Kaminaridoraibu)
Lorua's slayer mark appears and her power is completely amped up. She is normally very unable to contain and control this, and commonly unconsciously goes into this power up when triggered by something emotionally distracting. Her hair becomes complete electricity (see Killua's Godspeed from HxH). She's able to control the spreading of her mark, turning the right half of her body black like her mark and her right eye a pinkish color.
Lightning Magic 雷系各種魔法 (Kaminari Kei Kakushu Mahō): Lightning Magic is a branch of Elemental Magic that utilizes electricity, more specifically, lightning, as a form of offense and defense. Mages who possess the ability to utilize such Magic are able to generate these elements from their bodies, and manipulate them, even shaping their attacks as they wish. Lightning Magic can allow the user to transform their body into the element they control: by transforming into a lightning bolt, the user is able to avoid physical attacks, and have the added advantage of traveling around at very high speeds and damaging everyone or everything they come in contact with, much like real lightning.
● Absolute Thunder 絶対雷 (Zettai kaminari): Lorua calls upon a massive beam of thunder that forms from above an opponent, striking down on anything below. Lorua’s most powerful attack save for her Rage. When combined with her Lightning Drive, the power increases immensely. (think the move Thunder in Pokemon)
● Ultimate Raiden 究極のライデン (Kyūkyoku no Raiden): A spell that has Lorua create a massive space of pure electricity that is able to petrify any unsuspecting person caught in the field. It is literally a massive electric field in which anyone with electric based magic can move at an incredible speed while opponents are petrified. It only lasts a short amount of time, so once cast, the user must have a plan already in mind. It can also be used to evade attacks, but requires a massive amount of magical energy, so it must be used sparingly.
Unison Raid 合体魔法, ユニゾンレイド (Yunizon Reido): A spell which allows two Mages to unite their Magic into a single, combined, stronger attack.
● Full Thunder フル・サンダー (Furu sandā): This is a combined attack of Lorua’s devil slayer magic and Laxus’s dragon slayer magic. It is one of the most powerful electric based attacks. Both Laxus and Lorua concentrate powerful amounts of electricity into their bodies, putting together both their Rage and Roar to create a massive space of lightning that takes out anyone in the area unprotected or in the line of reach.
Enhanced Reflexes: Lorua is seen to be able to react instantly in battle. Sometimes her quick reactions backfire, as when she follows through with a motion, she must carry on with it, making this a common blind spot.
Enhanced Speed: Lorua’s speed and acrobatics are unmatched. She is able to react and move in one fluid motion that can span in the blink of an eye. Taking your eyes off her for a second can result in defeat. She is also able to turn her body into electric particles and disappear, reappearing anywhere in her field of vision in an instant.
Acrobatics: Lorua can move and bend her body in very strenuous situations, using this when attacking and evading.
Hand to Hand Combat: An expert since childhood, Lorua has always had a knack for using her fists and kicks. She somewhat prefers using this method over actual magic.
-LIKES
● Eating- Lorua is a glutton and will eat about as much as Natsu on occasions. She’s always had a large stomach hidden in her small frame, which catches unsuspecting individuals off guard.
● Chocolate - During days when Leigh isn't in need for money, bored and not doing anything, she'll go on missions with other guild members to get knowing them better. It doesn't matter their ranking either, whether they are S-Class or Regular Mages she'll do it to help out and just pass the time she doesn't know what to do with.
● Sleeping - Lorua loves to sleep, but is seen to only be able to do so comfortably when with another person. As a child, Lorua tends to sneak into Laxus’s room to sleep with him. On her 3 year time skip, she curls up next to her mentor. When completely alone, Lor will lean on her childhood teddy bear, Fenrin.
-DISLIKES
● Cold Weather - Lorua, although born a winter baby, despises the cold. She constantly shivers and shakes. As a child, Lorua would sit in the guild while the others played outside in the snow.
● Losing Control - Because of all the magic power forced unto her in such a small window of time, Lorua has a tough time controlling her magic. She already suffers from the inability to control her normal Thunder Magic, but it’s even worse with her newfound slayer magic. Lor constantly has to curl up in a ball and try to suppress the dark magic trying to come out of her.
