Amanda

Amanda comes from a long line of incubi and succubi. Pretty much everyone in her family had sex/attraction as demonic specialties, and so most non-demons expect her to also develop that ability. Magical inheritance actually works so that the longer a trait gets passed on in one demonic line, the more likely it is to mutate into a new trait. Most demons are born with a random demonic specialty and families like Amanda's are rare. Demonic culture and studies are very exclusive to other demons, though, and non-demons seem to either assume magical inheritance is genetic or if they have heard of how it works, find it confusing. Amanda's early development of secondary sexual traits (for example her breasts developed sooner and faster than most of her other classmates...depending on species), a common hallmark of sex magic, didn't help. Her classmates and teachers almost universally call her a succubus as opposed to an undecided demon, and she is often teased for it.

Her demonic specialty actually turns out to be physical alteration of other people, but she currently isn't aware of it. Eventually she will become the equivalent of a magical plastic surgeon (able to change her clients' fur/skin/hair colour, body shape, etc permanently as if she altered their genetic structure... doesn't mean they can't still dye their hair, gain/loose weight etc).

She is a senior in the same highschool that Melinda attends. She is an avid daydreamer and often gets lost in thought during class. A common theme is her math professor, who she has a crush on, and who also happens to be a talking white cat. This is one of many reasons Melinda finds her somewhat odd. They aren't really friends per se, but they get along well. Amanda is very sexually forward/open because of her family, though, which tends to confuse Melinda.
