General

Nyka is an incredibly outgoing individual and very easily makes friends. He’s something of a charmer; silver-tongued. He delights in flirtation though sometimes these advances are empty save for the want to compliment. He enjoys being the center of attention and thus can come off as quite vapid and shallow. While he may not be self-aware, his propensity to keep others at arm’s length, circumventing deeper conversation with his charm, is likely due to a fear of deeper emotional attachment. Nyka definitely fears commitment and seems to get cold feet (paws?) whenever more serious stages approach in relationships. Deep down, he likely fears rejection and heartbreak after dedicating himself to a partner and letting someone in. When (seemingly) purposefully ignored by others he can become quite bad tempered, even to the point of snubbing those he feels have wronged him in this way.
In more serious matters Nyka is exceedingly compassionate which lends well to his role as a healer. He can understand the physical pains of others, but has trouble externalizing his compassion for emotional or mental pain. One on one he has the capacity for incredible tenderness and affection, he just needs to find bravery within himself and overcome his commitment fears.

Most recently he has found a sense of courage in his work as a healer, facing his fears and excelling as a battlefield medic. The war to defeat Bolverk taught the once naïve male a lot, including the value of real friends and protecting your home. He has grown a lot since arriving in Mykur and joining Mangata.
