As a fellow horsemen, Pierce trusted Veritas from the start. He thinks the other to be strange, but ultimately, a teammate is a teammate.
He was an odd man for certain, but Jirta didn't mind his company. And the roof of his cabin just so happens to be a nice place to sit around. After his role was revealed, and upon meeting his spirit, she feels conflicted. She can't bring herself to hate or forgive him entirely. Jirta hopes, in the afterlife, he found what he was looking for.
