Backstory: Asla comes from an AU in which Nuka manages to kill Simba without getting himself killed by the logs, Zira decides he's more worthy of being king and Scar's heir and together with their pride they take over the Pridelands.Kovu runs away with Kiara starting a pride of their own, as he wanted, without Kiara standing against it.Nuka chooses no one other than Nala as his queen because she was very beautiful and because the pridelander lionesses trusted Nala more than him and he wanted them to trust him through Nala, who was the former queen anyway, so she remained queen but with a heavy heart.Some years later after many miscarriages, Nala gives birth to Nuka's first and only cub, a beautiful yet strange looking maned lioness.Nuka wasn't thrilled about having a daughter since he wanted a son as his heir so he named her "Asla", meaning "never" because she was to never be queen of her father's kingdom.However, little Asla was mischievous, smart and brave just like her mother and she became friends with a brown male hyena cub, named Numara who was in a very similar situation to her, his mother told him he would never be the leader of their clan.Becoming friends and realizing how much they had in common, they decide to set up a plan in order to both become the leaders of their pride and clan.So one day while Nuka and Zira were alone in the gorge, Asla and Numara started a wildebeest stampede that ended up killing both Nuka and Zira, as a result Asla became the new queen of the Pridelands at only 14 years old since Nuka had no other heir.In exchange for Numara's help, after becoming queen she sent some lionesses to kill Numara's mother when she was alone, leaving Numara as the new ruler of the hyeba clan, now both Asla and Numara succeeded in becoming rulers.Asla also allowed Numara's clan to live in the Pridelands to form a strong alliance between the Pridelands and Numara's clan.Nala was against this alliance that her daughter made because of what happened when Scar made an alliance with Shenzi's clan but eventually things turned out well because Numara's clan was very different from Shenzi's, they respected the circle of life and were not killing cubs.After some years, Asla found out she had some fertility problems so she wouldn't be able to produce an heir for the Pridelands, tho that wasn't her only problem, she was also not heterosexual so she never wanted to mate with any male, she wasn't homosexual either, for a long time she thought she was aroace, making her never truly desiring a romantic or sexual connection with any lion or lioness.However, she found herself quite fond of her loyal hyena friend, Numara, so one night it happened, she confessed her love for him and they became mates because Numara felt the same way as Asla.They decided to adopt a lion cub and a hyena pup as their heirs, which they found abandoned in the Outlands.Years later when Asla and Numara were around 20 yers old, Kiara and Kovu returned to the Pridelands to find out if the great war between their prides was finally over.After finding out from Asla and Nala what happened between their prides, with Simba, Zira and Nuka, they were heartbroken but also relieved that the war was finally over so now they could live a normal life in the Pridelands.Kiara wasn't bothered by the fact that her younger half sister was now the queen instead of her since she never actually wanted to be queen.Under Asla's and Numara's reign, the Pridelands finally found a long lasting era of peace.
