I'm also not entirely sure if his backstory is cannon in the Grem-universe so be aware of that as well!

Arlo is a very shy sweet boy who is very socially anxious around new people, he's a people pleaser so usually he doesn't complain when someone says or does something that upsets him.

Arlo grew up bouncing between different owners/masters who used and abused him, he was usually beaten for his mess-ups and shipped away to yet another owner, which caused some very deep major trauma in him around strangers. Upon many occasions the abused Grem attempted suicide but thankfully his owners always found him before he actually died. One time he got very close to it when one of his most abusive owners cut him down from the rafters. The owners always called him useless and unwanted afterwards and shipped him off to the new one. One day though Arlo finally found an escape and broke free of his torment, he ran far away from all his abusers and the toxic underground black-market system he was in.

Arlo is now living with that deep seeded trauma but is getting better, he sees many therapists and is attempting to work through his fears although he rarely accepts physical contact and if there is he will usually flinch, Arlo is still fresh in his new life and the only people he knows are his therapists and landlord, he is learning about his own interests and likes, he loves flowers and painting. Arlo always sees people with pets and he is also very interested in one but is still searching for the perfect companion for him. Arlo adores food and drinks of any type as he rarely had anything good tasting while he was bouncing between masters.

Arlo's strongest emotion is sadness, and he will sometimes cry without anything happening
Arlo wants to love everyone who comes into his life and give them the treatment he so desired when he was trapped, the few people he does know he adores and always tries to please them. Arlo has an underlying worry that the people he does know will abandon him, hurt him, or hate him for what he sees himself.
