- Unsure of who her parents are, though she has some very fuzzy memories of who she believes are her parents
- Comes from the orphanage in Moonglow, ran away with Alaska in the middle of the night
- The sole reason the two left was because of those who ran the orphanage and how poorly they treated some of the kids there, including Raven and Alaska. The other kids weren't exactly the kindest either
- The two have made an agreement to never return to Moonglow until they're adults or unless they absolutely have to. In fear that they might be forced into living in the orphanage again
- Since Raven has terrible social skills and the unknown half of her genetics is more prevalent in her appearance, she lets Alaska do the talking
- Luckily, the two have found a way to make living a bit easier. While Alaska can do all the chit chat and make good impressions, Raven can be the thief and ensure the two have a night's worth of food or the money to spend on that night's worth of food
- Raven keeps a journal with her, she often recounts things the two did together, places they went, etc.
- But she also writes down the names and descriptions of places that she's never been, like smaller towns or landmarks. She usually gets these things from adults or from Alaska after she's done eavesdropping on nearby conversations
- When they leave cities and go back to wandering, they like to go on small adventures in search of these places that Raven has written down
