“The Mire doesn’t take well to intruders, my friend.”

Impa was the sole inhabitant of the grand city of Mire, now nothing more than a shell of its former glory, ravaged by the curse placed upon it. As the Guardian of Mire City, it was Impa’s job to not only guard the city’s crumbling streets but to assess the potential of any player who entered the area. Those who were able to defeat her in combat were tasked with the daunting mission of defeating the raid boss of the Mire Desert - a task that very few were able to fulfil.

After witnessing so much violence and sending so many players to their - often repeated - deaths, Impa gained full consciousness.

The Stygian

Impa is a Stygian who can appear wildly different depending on where one meets her.

She retains her regal and reserved warrior ways; protecting the weak and striving for a bloodless end to conflicts. She maintains a respectful emotional distance from others, only making an exception for those who wish to learn her skills and those stubborn enough to work past her barriers.

On the surface, she's a friendly Stygian. A helpful soul with a bright outlook on life. It's a familiar façade to her, one that was ingrained into her very code, but it is just that; a façade. Underneath the reserved smile and regal pose, is a Stygian crippled with guilt heavy enough to break the shackles of rigid coding. Her soul is stained with the blood of many fallen heroes, all who died on a mission she sent them on. She mourns their loss she witnessed - despite their repeated resurrections, they still suffered. Impa prefers her solitude when the dark cloud of regret takes her and can often become hostile to intruders in her Kingdom
