Profile

Personality Traits: I strive to give the best of myself to the growth of others, practicing encouragement, empathy, and giving them the space to make mistakes and learn.

Ideals: In many ways, people are much like plants; they will find a way in the wild, but guided growth will result in a garden, a community. || Adventuring is hard, strenuous work, you really should always bring a therapist along, especially if you expect to shine.

Bonds: I love my mothers, Edie and Lenore. I love my brothers, Fletcher, Crane, and Talion. I'll always love my father, Cecil, no matter how many seasons pass since his death. I love my Goddess, and I love the family she's grown. I love every herb in my garden, and I want to watch them all thrive.

Flaws: I struggle to compromise on my ideals.

Reason for becoming an adventurer: Idolized her older brother. Wanted to take care of people.

Character History: Eden grew up in Aethos’s village. She absolutely idolized Talion, her older brother (10 years her senior) growing up. She started following him anywhere as soon as she could, and he was a tender boy, showing her tips and tricks for survival out in the wilderness. He would tell her tall tales and wondrous stories, about the gods, Aethos, and his own exploits, and she would gobble them all up.

When eden was 7 years old her father, Cecil, passed away from a disease. Talion had a hard time dealing with his father’s death and became distant. He spent more and more time away from the village, and when their mother, Endymia, tried to express her frustrations with his behavior he withdrew even further. It seemed that at this point Eden and a handful of like-minded friends were the only people Talion would talk to anymore.

Two years later, when Eden was 9 years old, Talion joined a party of adventurers and with Aethos’s blessing set off to find a wilder god. A few months later, Endymia remarried to a woman named Lenore, who had arrived at the village only a year before, pregnant. Her infant twins, Fletcher and Crane – now turned siblings – became Eden’s fascination. She wanted to be every bit as awesome a big sibling to them as Talion had been to her.

Thus she spent the rest of her childhood, relishing every letter or bit of news she got from Talion, learning how to garden from Lenore, and how to cook from Endymia, chasing after her troublemaking pair of siblings, sometimes aiding and abetting, sometimes scolding them softly, imparting onto them everything she knew for certain.

Eden developed a green thumb for plantlife as well as people. She quickly adopted Aethos’s philosophy to to think about people as plants; they will find a way in the wild, but guided growth will result in a garden, a community. She strives to give the best of herself to the growth of others, practicing encouragement, empathy, and giving them the space to make mistakes and learn.

At the start of her adventuring career, Talion’s whereabouts were unknown, and no one had heard from him in years. Eden is confident that he’s safe and living his best life somewhere. He was always absent-minded like that, setting off to fish midmorning, “only for a couple of hours,” to return past supper saying he’d lost track of time and carrying with him some wild tale about an albino buck he’d run into and spent all day stalking.

Eden, now 19, has joined Aethos’s familia, hoping above all to be their cheerleader, caretaker, and emotional support! Adventuring is hard, strenuous work, you really should always bring a therapist along, especially if you expect to shine.

Sometimes, after a hard day’s work, a cup of sleepy time tea in her hand, Eden’s mind wanders to her wayward brother, who is now 29, and regrets not being wiser at the time of their father’s death to ease his pain, and to explain that Endymia’s happiness also needed some care, and to thank him for being her North Star for so long… but by now he’s probably figured all of these things out already.
