HISTORY
Elmtree had a mostly normal kithood, followed by a standard promotion to medicine cat apprentice. He was passionate about herbs and helping others, but his mentor grew increasingly more antsy around him and over time, began to make excuses to be as far away as possible. To the shock of the clan, the mentor's mental state devolved rapidly within the span of a few days; He would mumble to himself at all hours, shake and have trouble walking, and panicked wildly whenever Elmtree spoke to him, eventually resulting in violent seizures leading to death. Elmtree was then promoted to medicine cat, but seeing his mentor go in such an odd way seemed to have twisted his perception of others quite a bit. His methods for curing the sick became irrational and extreme, where he would often suggest a patient with a lame leg or greencough go "seek health from the berries in the meadow" (a certain meadow that was eventually discovered to grow an abundance of death berries). This led to quite a few cats not returning, which in turn led to Elmtree being driven out. Confused by the clan's reaction, Elmtree panicked and slipped off the edge of a cliff to death. In the dark forest, everyone mostly leaves him alone. He's garnered some respect, but is still confused as to what got him there. He makes the best of it though.
