He and his littermates were supposed to be pure Welsh Sheepdog but a charming Border Collie came around at just the right time to woo Davey’s mother. (He skived off after, of course.) The nickname Davey is a sort of mean-spirited reference to his parentage because his official name is Dafydd. He wears it with pride though.
