Don't mind their appearance ! they're actually a kind being, n likes to help the lost to be found. Now what the lost will be found by ? unsure, could be what they need or something worse. Nightmare, themself, is lost, constantly seeing things in their mind, agonizing, terrifying things. Some things tell lies n others the truth. Even though they try n help, they can also meet those hes seen in his visions before which ends poorly. So they avoid sometimes, n wants to be left alone to their own horrors.
