Die Weiße Stute [White Mare]

Die Weiße Stute by the locals of nearby Bavaria, Germany and Austria. It's known to be the vengeful spirit of a loyal but lame horse that was left to starve and die in the mountains by its owner, who could not bare to end the life of his once best friend. The mare is all white, save for his eyes and hooves, which are a deep red. It is covered in various mushroom species that grow out of its skin and eyes. Most of which are death cap, destroying angel, webcap, deadly dapperling, and skullcap. All of which are the highly toxic mushrooms that overtook the mare's corpse after it died. Though the corpse would reanimate after death and carry on this way, forever haunting the region of Karwendel. 

It's said that the presence of Die Weiße Stute can be identified by a rotten stench and a feeling of dread or abject terror. Meeting the mare face-to-face; it will give chase to women and children, ushering them to safer passageways through the mountains. It will attempt to kill any man it sees. Usually with its hooves, stamping them to death. It may also try to bite off the face of its victim and eat it, in its desperate and eternal hunger. However, being bitten by the mare will infect one with a terrible illness that turn the eyes red and the hair white before mushrooms too, grow out of you, and you die. There are few ways to stop this paranormal illness. It has but a single survivor.
