They are a traveling bard who makes their fiddle out of their water spirit hair, that is everflowing from their scalp. They like to write poetry, and tell many stories to anyone they pass as they sail down the rivers of the swamp area of their world. 

Fossegrim are from Scandinavian folklore and are water spirits that play the fiddle, especially fond of waterfalls. They even teach some humans in exchange for food offerings. They are typically beautiful masculine figures made from water itself. The name Fossegrim literally translates to "River Man"

Kappa are river spirits from Japanese folklore and are mythical entities that have a fondness for cucumbers as offerings. They have bird-like faces and a dish of water atop their head surrounded by a spiny crown of skin. They are rumoured to drown people who are not careful near the water's edge. Their name tends to translate to "River Boy"

For this Mythos Mash-up, I combined these two creatures together to form a stunning character with an attitude!

They are a great character for use in TTRPGs, RP, as a fursona/monstersona, a VTubing character, story character, or many more options up to your imagination!

The Fossegrim-Kappa was really fun to design, especially the palette.


(Pronouns and gender can be reinterpreted but design stays solid. Name up to you for this character. Job and archetype can be reinterpreted as well. My ideas are just a base/core of their design choices. Design will not change though. Thanks for understanding! I take commissions for doing custom character design work too!)
