Erik Dannager

Erik is a life long resident of the small ski town in southern Quardrium. He's (head of?) the town's search-and-rescue because of the inherit potential dangers of skiing and also just living in an isolated mountain town that gets a lot of snow. His spirit weapon is a grappling hook. His house is kind of a half lodge & infirmary place. He'll sometimes rent it out to large groups visiting. He has a habit of carrying a first aid kit with him everywhere he goes in a semi magically space enhanced fanny pack, whether he's in town & on duty or not. He's definitely been able to save a couple people in unexpected emergency situations because of that so not's not a habit he has a desire to try and kick.

Erik met his wife Alexis Aurelia after she went through a hard break up and was drinking away her sorrows at a pub and he happened to be there so he got the brunt of her venting. He left early but got called back by the pubkeeper to make sure Alexis had a place to stay after she'd been kicked out. Erik found her passed out in the snow and took her back to his lodge to recover. The next morning a several day long blizzard started, snowing the two in together. They weren't too happy about it, didn't get along, but Erik stayed polite. When the blizzard was over and Alexis returned home they were both happy to be rid of each other.

Alexis came back to the town every so often (as she'd done before meeting Erik) whenever she needed some time away. Several times visiting she ran into Erik again, and would sometimes drunkenly vent some more (or not drunkenly too). Over the years they grew closer and became more of friends as Erik listened and offered what advice he could to her through her break-ups and miscarriages.

Erik developed a crush on Alexis while she was away at some point during her marriage to Agave. But he suppressed and possibly succeeded in forgetting about it. However after reviving Alexis from a suicide attempt Erik's feelings for her came back in full force. It took him several months, maybe a year or more, but he finally confessed his feelings to her and after some time they got married and had a son named Rickie.

Erik is a person that doesn't really like to talk about himself. He doesn't have many hobbies and is kind of a workaholic. But he also definitely enjoys his work. When he's not working Erik will sometimes watch his sisters' kids. Gives them safety lectures too much for their tastes though

As a father Erik is a little bit of a strict worrywart. He wants his son to be safe, but he also has a perpetual worry about Alexis and her well-being.

other trivia:

• Erik wardrobe consists almost entirely of flannel shirts, henleys, and skinny jeans. 
• As a kid Erik was in the Edemia equivalent of scouts and was VERY into it. Got every merit badge. very passionate. He tried to get Rickie into it too but Rickie was always more in it for the socializing.
• Erik's hobbies include logic/word puzzles like sudoku and crossword puzzles, hiking & camping, and collecting records/vinyls (especially old ones)
• He is 5'9" / 175.9 cm
