Nam-il

Nam-il is the youngest, but probably the most serious of the Midnight boys. He very much is all about his work, and doesn't have time for trifles (though the others make sure to be as trifling as possible lol). He's the music 'engineer', being the main-man when it comes to making the music for the songs Huang and Min-jun write. His computer music making skills are unparalleled, drawing a lot of praise from all of his hyungs and staff alike (which only boosts his huge ego further). Anyone can catch him with his headphones on at any time; he's likely studying music he likes to better his skills. Nam-il studies and works on perfecting his craft almost as much as Min-jun practices and perfects dancing... Almost.

This kid couldn't care less about the others tbh. He's the one to roast you for breathing if given the chance. Nam-il actually has an "Anti" blog with millions of followers, where he constantly trashes the other members of Midnight and praises himself LOL. Fans havent figured out it's actually Nam-il himself, and think it's just one of his fans lmao, but he constantly posts inside things, and live blogs the nonsense he sees that only someone in their dorm would be able to see so it's not hard to figure out. (Jae actually exposed him to the others and he was shook af) He cares about his reputation, and definitely wants Midnight to succeed and reach great heights. As a result, Nam-il has VERY high expectations of himself and his hyungs, and always puts his best foot forward. Another surprising thing about Nam-il is that he genuinely wants Min-jun to get more lines; he wants to best Mini at everything (even though he needs Min-jun to help him with dances), and he can only find out if he's the better singer, according to fans, if Min-jun's actually heard more than once a song.

Nam-il's family is actually supid rich; CK and Huang are like peasants to him lmao and they are well off. Nam-il is related to another (very famous) idol, and spent a lot of time with him when he was a kid. His relative is a very great singer, and dancer, and did his best to coach the little idol-in-training everything he knows, since he's really nice and likes his little relative's admiration. Nam-il quickly picked up on singing (but was a little slower in terms of dancing) but thought that with all the praise, he was the greatest thing to ever grace this world lol. He tried out to be an idol at 10; when there, he actually got extremely intimidated by other, OLDER guys, and ended up doing very poorly in his audition. He wasn't picked up as a trainee. Nam-il doesn't give up on his dream though, instead going back to his former-idol relative and demanding to be trained FORREAL. He spent a year honing his skills, and getting interested in music production, and went back the next year, hardened to criticism, and fully adopting his fully coldened demeanor, ready to spite all that get in his way. He makes it through auditions this time, at the age of 11, and spend 2 years as a trainee, while also being very aloof and mean to the point where he made 0 friends lmao. Being put in Midnight was probably the worst thing to happen to Nam-il LOL. He hates pretty much all the other members.
