Miho Sakurai
Miho's an odd teenager, preferring to wear suits even in the morbid heat of summer. He's of the mind that he should be as "adult" as possible, foregoing the potential of childhood for the mindset of his mother (and his step-mother, who lobbed all of her chores for running a household onto him). After a terse year at his biological father's home, he's obtained a rampant dislike for anyone that's an unproductive member of society -- much to the detriment of his half-brother. He spends the vast majority of his time studying, sometimes to the point of exhaustion, and often has to be reminded to eat or drink. Miho's a sparse boy, reserved at the best of times, but ready and able to brandish sass in a heartbeat. He has a soft spot for the members of Strife Corps -- especially his best friend Anya, who was the one to originally convince him that leaving Eito Sakurai's home was the best option for him. She introduced him to Caustic Plague (many of its members being Strife Corps) and it's become one of his favorite bands to rock out to while he does school work.
Details
Persona Awakening
Miho's persona is Janus, a Roman god representing beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, and endings. He's typically presented as a giant head with two faces on opposing sides. He presides over war and peace -- the beginning and end of conflicts. This is symbolic to Miho's entry into Strife Corps as the last member to join and the way his life changes drastically after joining.
Miho's persona awakening happens when he's fourteen years old, not long after he was rescued from his abusive father. After moving into Taro's new apartment, Miho enjoys a month of freedom while the rest of Strife Corps cobble together a plan to change Eito Sakurai's heart. It's not their normal scheme, ordinarlly they solve their problems by assinating terrible people in the Metaverse, but this time they need to convince Eito to sign Miho's adoption papers and name Taro his new caretaker.
With a deadline counting down until Eito reports Miho missing, the Strife Corps jump into his palace and discovers that he not only spends his days gambling, but that he's also a money launderer. The palace is a lavish building that facilitates the creation of yen in large printers. Even Taro is surprised by how far his father's fallen into illegal activities and Miho comments, "Like father, like son," much to the disapproval of everyone in the group.
The shadows in Eito's palace are disguised as government officials and children, a commentary on where he thinks the majority of his money disappears to. It's the Will Seeds that trigger the spirit of rebellion in Miho. As they collect the second one, they hear a voice-over of Eito contemplating his debts and using Miho as payment to settle them. Everyone reacts in outrage while Miho drops to his knees and screams as his nerw persona Janus greets him. He writhes on the ground and rips the mask off his face just in time to garner a new wardrobe and persona.
By the time they come back the next day to steal Eito's treasure, they find him in the body of a giant cockroach, symbolic to his belief that nothing can get rid of him. Miho's the one that leads the charge on him and the fight ends with the rest of Strife Corps giving Miho the option to what happens next. He chooses to spare his father, but only because there was no other option. His step-mother would keep custody of him if Eito died and it'd be too suspicious to kill her as well.
Days later finds Taro getting a call from his father full of tears and apologies. He weeps so profusely that he can barely breathe and all it takes is a quick suggestion for him to agree to signing over custody of Miho. It's not until after the documentation is signed that Miho is able to breathe a sigh of relief. He spares a few minutes to politely thank Eito before disappearing from his life entirely.

History
Early Life
Miho was the light of his mother Emica Chino's life despite initially having been an unexpected and unwanted pregnancy. When the nurse lay Miho in Emica's arms for the first time, she gazed down at her newborn baby and, to her relief, saw nothing of the father. It was love at first sight, the stars having been weaved in the sky for her baby alone. Emica determined that Miho would want for nothing in life and went on to work three strenuous jobs to ensure it.
Though the efforts of Emica's work kept Miho fed and watered, he was often left alone at home when he was old enough to no longer need childcare services. With three jobs to contend with, Emica rarely had a moment to spare for Miho and instead took to writing and pinning notes around their home. They ranged from affirmations of love to directions for meals as well as reminders to do chores. Miho responded to each of them with messages of his own, his handwriting sloppy but improving as time passed.
On the rare chance when Emica had free time, she and Miho would dress in their fanciest clothes and make an outing of the day. They visited various educational hubs including museuems and zoos, but often simply went out to eat or played at the park. Miho's most precious memories are of days like this where quality time and bonding are the foremost thought of the day. They rival even the holidays when Emica would save up all year for a pricey quality toy that Miho picked out on his birthday.
Two days before Christmas, Emica is struck by a truck on the freeway. The driver had fallen asleep at the wheel and she died instantly in the resulting flame and wreckage. Miho was devastated when told by his newfound caseworker and was even moreso upset when he was placed with his biological father in the ensuing days. It quickly became obvious that Eito "Pop" Sakurai and his wife cared little for children. They spend most of their days drinking or gambling, self-obsessed and with violent tempers Miho was fast to avoid.
Taro's Rescue Efforts
A year after Miho is adopted by his biological father and his wife, he meets his half-brother Taro. It takes only a glance for Miho to realize that Taro is a Yakuza thanks to the tattoos plastered atop the back of his hands. It takes even less time for the sass to bubble up the back of his throat when he lashes out at him. Despite Miho's sharp words and dismissive tone, Taro is able to ascertain that Miho lives with Eito Sakurai and the first wave of rebellion rises up in him.
Unbeknowst to Miho, Taro heads back to the Strife Corps' headquaters and begins to scheme a plan to rescue him from his abusive father and step-mother. With Saori and Anya's help, they corner Miho in a grocery store a week later and are able to parse more information from him. They learn definitively that he's Taro's step-brother, that his mother died recently, and that he has great disdain for unproductive members of society. It takes a fresh perspective from multiple people in Strife Corps to counter Miho's deep dislike for Yakuza for him to give Taro a chance.
Miho's ultimate agreement to run away with Taro leads to him purchasing his first apartment and getting a steady job as a mechanic. He uses his frankly ridiculous amount of savings to work together with Miho to garner furniture for their new home and they bond over creating a dream room for the teenager together. While their relationship is still quite rocky, it's on the up and up -- especially with Taro's girlfriend Kyo so quick to step in and admonish Miho for unnecessary hurtful comments.

Relationships
Taro Sakurai
Taro is a complicated figure in his life. On one hand, he's someone that saved him from their abusive father, but on the other he's everything Miho despises due to his Yakuza status. While Miho is initially antagonistic, through the help of the Strife Corps he comes to view Taro for more than his faults.
Jirou Aikawa
Jirou is one of the first people that Miho bonds with after meeting the Strife Corps. With as much as they have in common, it comes as no surprise that he develops an unrequinted crush on the other guy after hours of discusssion.
Anya Kaneyoshi
Anya first becomes Miho's friend due to his brother asking her to reach out to him. He has no idea that she didn't instigate the friendship of their own volition, but their companionship is genuine and he often seeks her advice for day to day questions.
Saori Kaneyoshi
Saori is one of Miho's most favorite people. They're often mistaken for family due to their physical attributes being so similar to one another. They have a keen understanding of one another and spend a lot of time just vibing together.
Kyoko Mori
It's Kyo that first puts her foot down to the disrespect that Miho spouts about his ex-Yakuza brother, Taro. She informs him tersely that Taro is worthy of respect and that he should reavaluate his opinon of him -- especially counting all he's done to keep him safe.
