Jess was a character made for a comic my friend was making.
He can be such a bully but he honesty just wants to be apart of the group and accepted by others. He tends to hang around the wrong kinds of groups though. He will join in bully groups and be a butt to gain their support.
It mostly comes down to his own lack of confidence in himself as a stand alone person. He can't stand being by himself and uses the support of others to justify his actions.
