He used to be a great warrior but got cursed by someone of powerful magic. This curse caused him to have his mind always attached to his decomposing body, now nothing more than bone and clothes.
He cannot move and is trapped between the roots of a three under a basement, but his memories become alive, making the people that visit the village hear and see things. Because of this it is thought to be haunted and most people avoid it.
Irlen and Zúah get into the village and investigate further, they find him at the basement where he tells his story, and lends his armor and sword to Irlen in exchange for him finding a way to break the curse.
