Sootkit was born and raised in RiverClan, becoming Sootpaw at the early age of four moons due to his size.

After becoming warriors, Sootpuddle and Newtpatch fell in love, and lived an average Clan cat life for over 40 moons

Sootpuddle, after many seasons of living in RiverClan, was framed for the murder of a young cat named Poppynose. There was no evidence as to who her killer was, and Sootpuddle had mentored her, though reluctantly.

The sadistic RiverClan leader, Troutstar, forced Sootpuddle's own mate to chase him away, the two of them giving him scars and chasing the tom-cat into exile.
