Personality

6566831_D0zyjmOZL0M7Q0J.png It's not hard to see that Grimwald is a particularly standoffish and rather unapproachable individual. He does nothing to hide this, and will let you know, both verbally and physically, if you do not take note of the warning signs. You know how animals tend to warn people before they lash out in frustration? That's Grimwald to a T, and if you get hurt because you simply refused to BACK OFF, that is, in his opinion, your problem and not his.

You're rude. He told you to leave him alone and you persisted, and now, for your troubles, you're missing an arm, congratulations.

Despite his rather unapproachable nature though, when left alone and to his own devices, Grim tends to be a rather peaceful, calm individual. He's cultured and elegant, or... well, would be if this were still the middle age. As it turns out, it's actually not, and this means a lot of his behavoir is a touch off. Not only because he's animal like and follows instinct, but because his notion of propriety is nothing like the rest of society's. This means he takes personal offense to things that are usually minor.

Still if you somehow manage to break through the initial hurdle, the man's dedicated and just as stubborn over your general well being as he is over his own. He learns fast, and is not only adaptable but willing to change. It's not his fault he has... several thousands of years of culture to catch up on. Bear with him.

As a random tidbit, Grimm is extremely far sighted, and requires glasses to read and honestly... to see you, really.

Quirks

✖ SHIFTING - His true form is that of a large, colorful dragon, so it's probably safer to say that he can shift out of it and into human form, rather than to say he can shift to dragon form. Usually, if possible, he much rather be in his real form. Circumstances have made it so he rather can't.

✖ FIRE BREATH - Like many dragons, he has internal organs that facilitate the production and expulsion of fire through his mouth. He's quite adapt at it and his stamina is actually rather high; he can stay in battle and use this ability for quite the long while. But just like with all dragons, there's a limit to how much he can use it.

✖ FLIGHT - In dragon form only. But capable of very long distance flight when necessary.

✖ ARMOR - In dragon form, his hide is quite thick, and so are his claws. You're not getting away with fighting him with a knife, and if you want to shoot him... you're going to need heavy duty artillery to penetrate. His claws are able to be heated up by blowing fire on them, and can be used to slice through metal. If he wants to, he can be an interesting source of destruction. Probably a good thing he just wants to be left alone with his books.

✖ FIGHTING SKILLS - Specially in dragon form, it's worth noting he's very obviously seen his fair share of battle, and this makes him a formidable foe. Not only does he have the strength and stamina but also the experience. Even in human form, he's quite adapt in the use of a sword and other such weaponry. The downside is... this is the modern world, and he's a fish out of water whose brought a knife to a gun fight most likely.

History

Grimwald used to live somewhere in Germany within the Middle ages, likely sometime between the 6th and the 9th century. As he grew, all he seemed to want was for humans to leave him alone. He moved from place to place, seeking peace and quiet, and by the time he'd amassed a sizable horde... the humans always came back and found him.

This would not have been a particularly bad thing if said humans hadn't insisted on rudely barging into his cave time and time again, waving those toothpicks they called swords in his face.

It didn't seem to matter how many times he moved his horde, or how many trespassers he munched on. More always came; it was frankly upsetting to the point he simply admitted defeat, sealed up his cave and horde and flew across the ocean, away from the land he'd called home for centuries. He landed within virgin, new land, and decided to start over once more.

Here, there were indigenous humans, yes, but they at least kept their distance and did not bother him much. Life was peaceful for a while, until humanity apparently sailed across the ocean... and once more came a-knocking.
