Ahn Yong-guk

For most of his time, Yong-Guk was, by all accounts, living the high life. Originating from a world not unlike our modern day, he always held dreams of being a star and indeed may have turned out to be one with the track he was on! Ever ambitious and outgoing, it was apparent even from a young age that he had a knack for performance. Though he would often get in trouble for stirring the pot, breaking rules, and ditching class in his school days, he never seemed to break stride! Few could keep up with his fast-paced race to the top and he honestly held a respectable amount of social momentum that could’ve catapulted him into the stardom he so dearly craved! His boldness was, if nothing else, something that garnered him quite a bit of attention! And he loved every minute of it, happy to cultivate a career in entertainment!

To be fair, the incident that derailed this career path was no fault of his and couldn’t have been predicted by anyone. The veritable end of his world, society’s collapse - people going mad in the streets, the destruction of any reputation he’d built and sudden lack of comforts he’d always known - it really should’ve spelled his end entirely but he was lucky. He survived off of his own resourcefulness, continuing to take risks that very luckily didn't end in a premature demise.

It helped very much that he teamed up with another survivor, Jay. Her steadiness helped to offset his own impulsiveness while also fulfilling a critical social bond for both of them. Everyone knew the apocalypse would be dangerous, but no one ever talked about just how lonely it would be. Having someone next to him he could trust and talk to was more valuable than any resource. The survivors made it together for some time before, in a flash of light, they were suddenly ripped from their apocalyptic universe through a strange portal that had suddenly opened up around them.

At first Yongguk thought that this must be the afterlife! A world with blue skies and green grass - something he missed dearly! The people were, like, out of some weird game, and the land was even weirder. While Jay was wary, he was quick to accept the GSCF reaching out to help the two, providing them a place to stay and informing them of all sorts of stuff with portals pulling people from all over time and space. Honestly, it kinda sounded like a show he’d watched once! Well, lucky day! He’d take getting stuck in a Fantasy adventure over Horror any day of the week! Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, he gladly joined Team Cythera alongside Jay! It sounded like a fun adventure and, quite frankly, this world seems much nicer than his old one!

Rowdy, disruptive kid with an overall pretty good life ➣ Wannabe STAR, super into acting and show and performance ➣ Life is good! ➣ Actually, scratch that, it’s bad it’s a zombie apocalypse and everything is horrible ➣ Wanders solo a bit before running into Jay and joining her in trying to survive ➣ gets yanked through a portal with them to Ethlovalon ➣ Helped by GSCF ➣ Nowhere to go, new dimension, new adventure, happily joins Cythera with Jay
