Personality(s):

Dr.Saga’s mind is one of reserve nature. He’s a soft-spoken individual who rarely raises his voice, and if he does, it’s out of pure annoyance. Anger’s uncommon within him but not impossible since he does share a body with his brother’s mind. Nonetheless, Dr.Saga’s a calm person . He’s always studying the room to try and understand the mood everyone shares in that moment. Emotions overall fascinate the lindost, taking significant action to examine those with overwhelming amounts. Him, on the other hand, can’t express a mere smile without difficulty. He’s cold to a degree, empathy isn’t his speciality. It’s not that he doesn’t try; the subject of expression does captivate him after all. Yet, he rather pursue the topic of emotional display through scientific means. Which as a result: makes him stand out like a briar in a crowded market. The doctor constantly invades personal space to document ptithian’s emotion. Scribbling down notes while the poor “victims'' stand there in bewilderment. He usually asks bizarre questions as well like: “Why’s your smile so odd?”, “Does your brow usually go so low in these outbursts?”, and ”What flavor is your sadness?”. What those questions usually lead to is a distraught ptithian scurrying out of his sight. He doesn’t chase after them ( most of the time) so he simply carries on his research with others. In the end, why does he do this? Pure unfiltered curiosity. He’s a lindost; emotion isn't common in his species. So, he finds it to be an intriguing field to study in his time. Plus, on a darker note, it makes his job as a lindost easier. He doesn’t particularly favor his position yet he still partakes in it. Though he does leave the gruesome parts for his brother; he’s just the surveyor for him. Besides his passion for emotion, he’s surprisingly philosophical to those that listen. He has numerous views on life that many would find odd for a lindost. The doctor believes that no-one has a set destiny, and that the architects themselves aren’t as omnipotent as they are. There’s no balance in the universe within his mind, just supposed Gods trying to prevent the eventual chaos. It’s a bleak outlook; but he’s too stubborn to think differently. Overall, Dr.Saga’s has a peculiar mind for one of his kind. For his other half, well… that’s an entirely separate story.

When one pictures a lindost: Dr.Cillum’s what one may imagine them to be. He’s an unhinged creature that only wants to further his disturbing passion. He’s a doctor that doesn’t have ethical practices nor a conscience in any regard. He will pursue his desire for understanding the inner workings of ptithians with no mercy whatsoever. Morals are simply an impediment in his mind. “Why hold yourself back from greatness?,” he asks those that challenge his views. “When you can achieve everything without those petty restrictions of the mind.” However, as brutal and as ruthless as that may sound, he’s shockingly harmless. Yes, he does perform grotesque acts that can make a windiage vomit but in the public eye he’s a whimsical salesman. He spins the wonders of his services to the world with unlimited vigor. Burying his horrific actions beneath a welcoming wide grin. Of course, this doesn’t trick everyone, people know of what he’s done to secure his “products”. Though, not many have spoken out against him. Could it be out of fear? Nativity? Who knows; his business still stays open through it all. The lindost continues to twirl his body around to attract more customers to his emporium. Unfortunately, his facade of an energetic businessman can be shattered under certain circumstances. Revealing the abominable underbelly of an unstable beast. The fury of Dr.Cillum’s truly something to be cautious about if one finds themselves in front of it. It’s like a flood of needles that can decimate any organism within its path. He becomes a psychotic machine that wishes nothing more than to grind its subjects into useful products. This side of the doctor is no doubt what his victims see before their demise. Having to endure several agonizing hours until he grants them the privilege of death. So, be mindful of Dr.Cillum, one can never expect what side of him they’ll see in that jumbled mind of his.

Background:

When the creation of this lindost occurred, no Sagacitas nor Corcillum would be found. Just one mind: Vrodi. They didn’t stand out among their fellow minors, just another serevent to the arch. They did their duty in harvesting the soul magic of unfortunate ptithians for countless years. They never questioned anything nor aspired to stand out. They were just a lindost. Then… a switch flicked on one particular day. He discovered the disbowled corpse of a Lefika while roaming the Dark Grove. Fresh too, their glistening intestines sprawled out on the ground in full display. What most would see as a revolting sight Vrodi, instead, saw it as an enticing piece. The lindost stepped forward, his feet stained by its dried blood while he continued to gander at the decaying creature. The insects that swarmed around the body began to crawl onto his dark skin. Yet, he did not move once. His hand grasped onto the slimey organ with a newfound desire. His mind then filled with infinite curiosity before a smile grew on his face. Corcillum was born at that moment. The lindost then quickly started to fuel his new obsession. Ptithians disappeared all over the map. Healthy, dying, old, young, he didn’t care. They were all pristine subjects in his mind. The creature tore them open to reach their exquisite insides, documenting his findings scroll after scroll. The days of research became weeks and eventually years. Rumors spread like a virus among the affected communities. Was it a briar? A windiage? A werebreast? Could it even be a basilisk? No-one knew since the bodies turned up so infrequently. Their organs missing along with other appendages in certain cases. Hunting parties were eventually sent out to find and hopefully slay whatever beast was causing the brutal killings. They followed the trail of corpses for months until they finally caught a break. The lead took them to a remote cavern where they expected to find the beast's lair. What they didn’t expect to find was a laboratory, with a lone lindost dissecting his latest catch right in front of them. Before Vrodi could even react, the party charged forward with all their might. The lindost was too blinded by his work to establish the true threat of the group. The fight lasted no longer than a minute… concluding with Vrodi’s head on the floor.

Of course, every Lindost comes back. His memories were transferred to a new vessel to continue his duty. However, the haze from the immense passion had vanished upon his new life. He couldn’t remember much, just flashes of rotting corpses and pickled livers. That once guresome drive had now been buried deep. The next decades proved to be exhausting; he had no drive anymore. He could barely perform his purpose either which turned into an issue. He wanted to lay down to let his own essence decay into nothingness, give his body back to the global aura. He almost went after that endeavour but his own hungry curiosity came back into fruition. He began to hear conversations about a great mechanical utopia known as Nox, run by godless ptithians. Out of pure boredom, he decided to embark to this rumored city. When he arrived, he stood before the engineering achievement that was Steam City. Captivated already by its wondrous display. After a few weeks, he makes a home in the city since it's the first-time in a century he’s felt *something* again. He began wandering into markets, taverns, museums, and lots of active places. Why? He discovered a new passion: emotion. He witnessed several conversations from out of sight, studying them. Fascinated by the changing expressions, tones, and overall moods from the ptithians. He even started to document his theories about how these emotions worked. Sagacitas, after several years, finally arrived. This harmless research went on for decades until his past caught up with him. His own fault in reality since he left Nox to pursue new horizons in other kingdoms. Unfortunately, he roamed into one of the communities that were victim to his past self. The realization didn’t happen overnight but as the days went on, suspicions rose further and further. Eventually, the truth came into the light about Vrodi’s origins. Sparking the burning desire for vengeance within the affected families. Vrodi sensed the change in tone towards him too, though he didn’t understand why. Yes, he’s a lindost, but the residents in Nox grew used to him over time. What had these ptithians so irked? Before Vrodi could discover the truth, it became too late. The families planned an ambush on him during one of the festivals in town; a perfect time since he'd been too preoccupied studying. His death occurred the same way as before in his first life: with his head sliced from his body.

Everything changed when his third reincarnation occured. Usually when problems happen during the process the minor can become an aryst or a dreaded soyowas. However, the event that transpired wasn’t enough for either of those possibilities to occur. What happened? His first mind wanted control again. When he buried that side of him, it only festered within its shallow pit. Awaiting for the moment it could regain its proper body again. This didn’t happen since his second mind also remained. The two, instead, fought for its place. Which led to both sides, both minds, both Vrodi’s… to fuse into one vessel. His memories became fuzzy; incomprehensible even. It’s as if this it’s his first life again. Yet, there’s someone else with him. Vrodi’s own core was now split into two individuals: Corcillum and Sagacitas. Both shared the same body but were drastically different from each other. So, to compensate for this: they concluded that they were brothers somehow, twins even. It was certainly inconvenient during the beginning years back on Ptitheros since they had to basically communicate their needs 24/7. Which made the soul magic harvesting difficult. “Why don’t we go after that one?,” Saga would propose. “Another PTSD victim? Come on, let's challenge ourselves!” Cillum would fire back. Their bickering went on for decades until they found themselves near Nox again. Strange familiarity fell over Saga so he suggested they stayed in Nox for a couple months at least. Cillum didn’t understand his reasoning but didn’t argue about it. They found a spot on the Fox Isle weeks later to settle down on. As time passed, old lives began to resurface. It’s as if history was repeating itself. Sagacitas began growing more curious about ptithian emotion while Corcillum began taking interest in corpses. Soon enough, they turned their rundown home into two separate businesses: Dr. Cillum’s Organ Emporium and Saga Psychiatry. Both sides dedicated themselves to their work tirelessly. It even made their purpose of harvesting soul magic easier. Til' this day they remain on Fox Isle, continuing their studies and work. Both minds switch control in harmony… for now.

 Extra Information/Trivia:

 Both Sagacitas and Corcillum look similar since they share the same body. However, their clothing and accessories are vastly different: both representing their respected fields. When they change control, their outfits also change to fit their separate desires. Dr. Sagacitas, persistently, believes emotion to have different flavors. He will constantly ask ptithians if they can taste their own emotions, usually receiving the same answer: no. Yet, he’s too stubborn to throw his hypothesis of emotion and flavor away. He’s even written several studies about his theory… which baffles the scientific community in Nox til’ this day.Dr. Corcillum has an unnatural fasication with hybrids of any species. He believes them to be incredible specimens, literally. That’s why it’s best to avoid the deranged doctor if one’s a hybrid. For he might indulge in his dissection tendencies.
