Mellow, gentle, and as warm as his fiery orange hair might imply, Daniel can be described as the personification of the word "kind". Though sickly and not one to initiate conversations on his own due to his nervous disposition, he is rarely ever seen without a soft smile on his face as he politely greets those who approach him, and is often willing to extend a helping hand. He is a genuine, guileless individual who just wants those around him to be happy, and due to this he enjoys gifting his handmade origami cranes to those he's friendly with.
Then, perhaps, given his meek and unimposing attitude, it is only natural that he is generally well-liked in the neighbourhood - but at the same time, also the prime target for certain... not so friendly individuals. Lacking in solid self-confidence and easily intimidated by hints of aggression, Daniel has always been somewhat of a doormat, apologizing way more than he should even when he shouldn't have to. The bandages wrapped around his arm hides more darkness than his unconvincing attempts at waving off concerns might let on...
...Fortunately, he is no longer left to his own devices as he once was, having built up an inseverable connection with his current companion and closest associate, Seiryuu. They look out for one another constantly - the girl stepping in to defend or reassure him when needed, and he himself conveying to others what she was unable to. Together, they make a good duo, and he wishes that life would continue to be peaceful for the two of them.

Though his father is of British descent, he is half-Japanese due to his mother.

He usually speaks with a slight stutter, which worsens when he's excited or anxious.

His left arm is not currently injured - the bandages are mostly to hide an old injury.

Has the habit of running his hand down his hair when nervous.

He has myopic astigmatism! It isn't severe, but he still wears his glasses most of the time.

He collects origami stars, and is a good folder of origami cranes himself!

He has low blood pressure, and easily falls ill. However, he's not exactly physically weak.
Friends since a young age, Seiryuu and Daniel are incredibly close and practically inseparable. He understands Seiryuu almost perfectly, and is deeply loyal to her. His biggest wish is to stay by her side for as long as he can, and that she'd smile more.
Another long-time friend, Cyrus and Daniel met at school as classmates. Though initially somewhat intimidated by the other boy, he eventually grew to appreciate him, but is still slightly troubled by how often he teases him about certain topics.
