Naunet's Mother was the Water Goddess of Lake that ended up drying up, which did a real number to their social status. Naunet was constantly teased at school about it since her and her mother were practically the goddesses of nothing at that point.

This really twisted her personality it made her value and want things that she didn't have and begun to try to learn means to get them. Doing whatever she could to climb the social latter and using anyone she could to raise herself up.
