History
Once a mere mortal being, Achlys was given a choice. A choice of power or love. And he chose wrong. So his mortal hands dragged him back to the choice giver and begged, pleaded for power. Well he got power. Power, and pain. The choice-giver wasn't happy Achlys chose him second.
"You thought love was the end all? Pathetic. Now you will suffer pain. And no love for you anytime soon."
After that encounter, Achlys lived a life of doing whatever the fuck he wanted, when he wanted to do it. The emotions of others he paid little mind, only caring if it benefitted him. Some people flock to him for answers to open-ended questions. But who was he to care?
