This Crook was a hard-working individual, yet gentle in their ways and voice. They had an ability to create ease wherever they went, aiming to quell any conflict or struggle they encountered within the hearts of those around them. They enjoyed the world around them most when it was at peace, flowing and living in a harmonious synergy with one another. They carried with them a long staff with a carved hand-like end that would allow them to cast magic they did not normally have. The magic matched their heart and was gentle and helpful, and they would claim it was because the tree it came from was their friend. They claimed they would go around the lands with the remnant of their friend to provide wishes to those who needed them most. Seeking out pure-hearted individuals to further spread this kindness as that was their own wish. They were someone who knew the power of giving people kindness and hope to look forward to the following day with, and they did so with eagerness. For this reason, they believed the guardian chose them for their strange request of finding out if a Crook could become a CCCat by mortal means. Their methods were organized and quaint, often aiming for whatever could bring an answer forth using the magic around them. They carried with them the tools and stories of their adventures, keeping a quiet calmness to their demeanor, always seeming to have a reliable solution to the wishes requested by others.

When given the opportunity to work along side their CCCat workmate, they felt sure that the two of them could create some way to grant the wish of the guardians. They would work together for some time, truly becoming friends and working even for some time together to aid in people's matters of struggle where they could. The two became known as gift-givers due to their kindness and trade of help for simple knowledge.

But this didn't last forever. The Crook guardian came often, speaking to the crook of their progress and headway towards the solution. Questioning the capabilities of the crook and the doubts of their ability to bring forth the result the guardian wanted most. The doubts of the guardian were like parasitic seeds within the crook's mind, creating doubt within their own potential when they had never experienced such before. The guardian could take aim at the crook with scornful eyes and readily pick someone new if they could not present their abilities to the guardian. Worse yet, the guardian could easily cast the crook away without much issue or any remnant of themselves like the staff they carried with them. The crook had to find a way to grant the complex wish in any way it could.

They became somber, a sense of dread now occupying their once calm aura. They had to find a way to harness the proper magic, believing their staff the key as it was for all their other matters. Surely something was present in the world around them that would be able to be grabbed and harnessed by the staff, much like it has done before. Altering the shape and form of oneself was a new challenge, though. The staff had been used to bring wonders and create a calming air, yet now it felt like it was being used to reach into the depths of magic never once touched before. It was impossible to know how this would pan out for the crook, but it was determined it would find the answer. The CCCat often would complain of the crook's methods, saying the world's magic on its own could not grant them something which would break the natural form they were given, but the crook disagreed.

Eventually the two broke off their ties, and the crook aimed to work alone, now hoping to show their guardian and their old workmate how they would grant the guardian's immense wish, reaping the benefits of the guardian's promise for themselves when it was over.

The day came where the crook found a spell, a rhythm even in the magic that surrounded the world. After many long failures and attempts of surfacing a magic hidden deep in the weave of the world, it seemed as though they had found the string to pluck using the staff's gentle claw. However, when this chord was plucked, it was more fragile than the crook could've ever realized. The weave within itself tore and wove into a new shape, granting them a new form as intended, but not the form they were aiming to achieve. Their body became massive, their staff which was the instrument of their magic fusing to them through the world's magic. Their eyes fused and reformed back into a singular, external sphere where it contained their essence. They acquired a CCCat mutation, but not form. The form was unlocked for them, but their guardian never had their wish granted proper, and no reward came. In fact, the guardian never came back. The crook believed it was because they had misused the world's magic in a cursed, unforgiving way.
